Good morning friends! I hope all of you had an amazing weekend! Well, it’s officially spring which means it’s white jean season and if I’m being honest white jeans aren’t my favorite and here’s why: If you don’t get a pair that is thick enough they can end up being the best way of showing off any flaws you may have. Needless to say, I haven’t worn white jeans in quite a while until I came across these. These super cool high rise ankle length white jeans are by Agolde and they’re so flattering! Agolde is an affordable denim brand and one of my personal favorite’s, I’ve done several blog posts featuring their denim and it’s all so good because the fit is amazing, the quality is very high yet the price point is extremely reasonable!

HIGH RISE ANKLE LENGTH WHITE JEANS BY AGOLDE:
These white jeans by Agolde are called the ‘Riley‘ and are available at Shopbop and Revolve. The denim is substantial enough to hide any and all flaws which is really what makes these white jeans stand out from all the others. They have just the right amount of stretch in them making them very comfortable yet they hold their shape very well. They’re cut in the ‘IT’ denim silhouette this year which you probably already know if you’ve been reading my blog lately which is the high-rise straight leg cut which is very slimming and flattering!
These jeans are so good that I got them in the faded blue wash too. I know I’ll be wearing both pairs of these cool-girl jeans all spring and summer long and I’m sure you will too if you decide to grab a pair for yourself! They run true to size, I’m wearing a size 25.

4 TIPS TO FOLLOW WHEN WEARING WHITE JEANS:
1.) MAKE SURE THEY ARE THICK ENOUGH:
This is what I mentioned above and is the biggest reason why I don’t like most white jeans. When picking a pair of flattering white denim you must not only touch it and feel it to make sure the denim is substantial enough to hide any flaws but you should also try them on for the real test. Unless of course, you’re reading this blog post and then you don’t need to because I did all the busy work for you and I can attest these super chic jeans are not see through and are thick enough to hide any challenge areas!
2.) MAKE SURE THE FIT IS ON POINT:
When buying a pair of white jeans you must make sure they fit you well and aren’t too tight. The waist should be snug enough so it doesn’t fall down or gape yet still be comfortable. The fit through the hips and thighs should be form-fitting but not too tight otherwise the pair of jeans can end up showing off any flaws you may have instead of hiding them. When in doubt, if the white denim has any stretch to it what so ever I always suggest sizing up one size because you definitely do NOT want to wear your white jeans too tight!

3.) PICK THE RIGHT SHOE:
White jeans should almost always be worn with a neutral color shoe like beige, gold, silver, or white because if you end up wearing a dark-colored heel or bootie it can tend to make your legs look shorter and almost cut off. In the spring and summer time, I only wear heels or wedges in neutral or metallic shades for this reason. The same principle applies to light wash denim as well, I just think they look better and are more slimming when paired with a neutral heel or wedge. If you’re not sure what shoes are in for spring check out my latest blog post titled: SPRING SHOE EDIT: THE ONLY 5 PAIRS OF SHOES YOU’LL NEED ALL SEASON LONG.
4.) STYLE YOUR WHITE JEANS ACCORDING TO YOUR BODY TYPE:
If you are tall and slim then lucky you, you can pretty much wear any type of denim silhouette you want! However, if you’re petite like me (5’4 or under) then pick a pair of jeans that hit you right above the ankle, this will not only make your legs look longer and you look taller and slimmer, but it will allow you to show off your favorite heel of the moment. If you’re built more like a pair meaning you gain weight in your hips and thighs then opt for a pair of high-rise denim to accentuate your waistline and maybe a pair of flares to help balance out your hips, this style of denim can be more forgiving than say a pair of skinny jeans.
On the other hand, if you tend to gain weight more in your mid-section then I would still opt for a high-rise jean as it will do a great job of holding everything in, but maybe opt for a straight leg or flare versus a skinny jean and wear a flowy top to hide your challenge areas. Bottom line, the best way to see which type of jeans look best on you is to try them on. Once you find a style that fits and flatters your body type then stick with that style and get it in multiple shades and colors.
PS – my amazing cropped utility jacket is by Topshop so the price point is amazing, only $75 to be exact, quite a steal for such a cute jacket!
I love it paired with high rise denim and a simple tee for the perfect laid back look. If you want to be more casual for a day time look just swap out the heels for some chic sneakers. This versatile and effortless jacket will be on major repeat for me this season and I’m sure if you decide to grab it, it will be for you too!
