STEAL VS. SPLURGE: BALMAIN BLAZER DUPE +$750 NORDSTROM GIVEAWAY REMIINDER

Good morning ladies!  If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now then you know I wear blazers and jeans a ton, in fact, I would consider this my go-to outfit formula.  Do you have a favorite blazer hanging in your closet that you love, but you’re not sure how to style it OR are you in the market for a fabulous fitting blazer?  Either way, you’ve come to the right place.  In today’s post, I’m going to highlight the most amazing under $100 blazer that fits and looks very similar to the lux Balmain blazer which is bar none the best fitting blazer I’ve ever tried on.  I wear a size 34 in Balmain blazers.

My chic zebra print silk cami is by Anine Bing, one of my all-time favorite designers.  Her entire ‘cool-girl’ line is available on Shopbop and I seriously love it all!  Animal print is still a huge trend . in 2019 so I just had to have this zebra print cami.  It’s the perfect top you’ll want to wear under all of your jackets!  It runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

My Balenciaga heels were a definite splurge for me, but well worth it when I considered the cost per wear.  These statement heels are sure to take any look to the next level!

BEST BALMAIN BLAZER DUPES:

1.) THE CARLY BLAZER BY DECJUBA:

The actual blazer I’m wearing is by a really cool Australian brand called DECJUBA.  I found this brand on Instagram and instantly fell in love with all of their super chic yet incredibly affordable pieces!  My favorite piece from their line is stunning this black blazer, it’s called the Carly Blazer and it comes in like 6 colors.  They’re sending me the red one too so stay tuned for a post in that color.  The fit of this blazer is impeccable, I love that it’s a little shorter in the back and the silver buttons add a really cool element to this polished blazer.  The sizing on this blazer is a little tricky since it’s from Australia, I’m wearing a size 6 which is the same as a US size 2.  This blazer fits similar and the buttons especially make this sleek jacket look very similar to the lux Balmain blazer only it’s a fraction of the price!

2.) LIONESS BLAZER:

This blazer is available on Shopbop and it seriously looks almost identical to a Balmain blazer.  It comes in 5 gorgeous colors and the fit is dead on.  I wear an XS in this chic blazer. The material feels good on the skin and it’s wrinkle free so this blazer would travel very well.  Would you believe that this incredible blazer is a mere $88, quite a steal for such an amazing blazer!

GO-TO BRANDS FOR BLAZERS:

I love Veronica Beard blazers and own a couple, the fit is amazing and the quality is very high.  What I love most about Veronica Beard blazers is that most of them have a feature in them where you can zip in and out these really cool interchangeable dickeys.  The dickeys come in all colors and textures, I own the black leather dickey, the camo dickey, and the gray hooded dickey, these all make any of the Veronica Beard blazers look like an entirely different jacket!  You can usually find them on sale on the Veronica Beard website, Nordstrom Rack, or Last Call.  I also love J Crew blazers, the price can’t be beat and the fit is always really good too.  Topshop makes an incredible fitting & affordable blazer, I recently did a post in this really velvet blazer and it’s on SALE NOW!    For an affordable blazer brand, I love Lioness that I mentioned above as one of the best Balmain blazer dupes available at Shopbop.

HOW TO STYLE A BLACK BLAZER:

There are numerous ways to style a blazer.  I love wearing a blazer super casual on the weekends with a graphic tee, straight leg denim, and chic sneakers.  To dinner with friends or a date night you can always pair a blazer with a lace cami, skinny jeans, and some sleek heels.  For an even dressier look try pairing a blazer over a maxi dress or wear it a pencil skirt and blouse to the office.  The possibilities are endless because the classic black blazer truly is one of the most versatile jackets ever made.
