WHAT TO WEAR ON CASUAL FRIDAY TO WORK

I get a ton of questions from you guys on what to wear on casual Friday’s so I’m going to share with all of you the perfect outfit formula.

CASUAL FRIDAY OUTFIT FORMULA:

This outfit combo will always be appropriate, chic and uber stylish: a pair of non-ripped denim,  a structured jacket, and a pair of heels.

1.) NON RIPPED DENIM:  The most important thing to remember is the NON-RIPPED part.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m a HUGE fan of ripped jeans as you know if you’ve been reading my blog for awhile now, but there are a few places I don’t recommend wearing ripped jeans and a business setting is one of them.  I worked in the corporate world for about 6 years in corporate sales and I had to wear a suit everyday except Fridays.  On Fridays we were allowed to wear jeans as long as we still looked professional.  One way to ensure you’ll look professional and polished is to choose a pair of jeans that are non-ripped and simple.  These gray jeans I’m wearing are by J Brand and I LOVE them!  The wash is so versatile and perfect to wear year round.  They’re high-rise which means they’re slimming and make your legs look long.  They have a little bit to stretch to them so they’re comfortable yet hold they’re shape very well.  They run true to size, I’m wearing a size 25.  I highly recommend adding these uber chic AND office appropriate jeans to your denim collection!

2.) A STRUCTURED JACKET:  Whether it be a blazer which is my first choice, a moto jacket with minimal hardware, or a even a simple cropped jacket, a jacket will always ensure you look polished and professional.  My white blazer is by Veronica Beard, one of my favorite designers, they make the best fitting blazers, hands down.  The exact jacket I’m wearing is called the Scuba jacket, I have it in black too because it’s that good!  The material is high-quality and wrinkle free and the cut of this blazer is impeccable!  The zipper detailing and silver snaps on the sleeves add the perfect amount of subtle edge to this blazer making it anything but ordinary.  It runs true to size, I’m wearing a size 0.  This blazer is a bit on the pricey side, an investment no doubt, but it will be one you’ll wear a ton and have in your closet for many seasons making the investment well worth it!  I did find this white blazer that’s super chic and a fraction of the price, it would be a great jacket to wear on casual Friday’s as well!

10 JACKETS THAT ARE OFFICE APPROPRIATE:

3.) HEELS:  Another item I’m a huge fan and that you’ll see me in 99.9% of the time.  If there’s one thing that can dress up a pair of jeans better than anything else it’s a pair of amazing heels!  Please no flip flops ever to work on Fridays or crocks (do people still wear those, lol) and I don’t think sneakers are appropriate either.  A pretty pair of heels will do the trick every time, trust me!  A woman in heels looks confident, beautiful and put together, I know I do when I wear a pair of heels which is why I wear them most of the time.  These gun metal heels I’m wearing are by Stuart Weitzman and they’re probably my most worn heels in my closet.  The dark silver shade literally matches everything proving their versatility.  I have them in nude and black as well because they’re that amazing!  The heel hight is 4 inches which is doable and for a heel these are reasonably comfortable.

Oh and by the way, this look will also take you from the office to happy hour just perfectly!
