Lost in the sea of Fall shoe trends? Each season brings such a huge variety it can be hard to single out the styles that actually work for you, and aren’t just a passing fad. That’s why I’m sharing five styles I’m wearing on repeat this season, from chocolate brown suede wedges to slim retro sneakers and pointy-toe mules. I love shoes that look fabulous but still feel comfortable – I’m 52, and I’m done wearing sky-high heels that hurt my feet! These are five fall shoe trends I’m dying to wear with everything from jeans and skirts to a slimming sweater dress.

Chocolate Brown Ankle Booties: My Fall Favorite
If I could pick just one pair of ankle booties for fall and winter, these chocolate brown suede booties would be it. I love the almond-shaped toe, the low heel, and the seam down the front. They’re so comfortable, but they still make an outfit feel special. I paired them with wide-leg jeans, a burgundy top, and a cropped suede bomber. That mix of chocolate brown and burgundy is one of my favorite combinations this season. I’m wearing an XS in the top and jacket and a 24 regular in the jeans.

Slim Suede Wedges: A Comfortable Update to the Classic Wedge
The old, chunky wedges so many of us wore years ago feel dated to me. This fall, I’m reaching for a slimmer, more minimal shape with a pointy toe. I love this chocolate brown suede pair from Dolce Vita. They look so luxurious, and the best part is they don’t slip off my feet. I styled them with a brown silk bodysuit and dark-wash wide-leg jeans for a look I could wear to the office or out at night. I’m wearing an XS in the bodysuit and a 24 regular in the jeans.

Black Suede Knee-High Boots: A Chic Sweater-Dress Pairing
I love a good knee-high boot with a sweater dress. This black suede pair has a pointy toe and a three-inch heel, so it looks elegant without feeling too high. I styled the boots with my gray one-shoulder sweater dress, which is so comfortable and also comes in mocha brown. The side slit and one-shoulder neckline make it feel a little sexy, while the boots give it a fabulous fall-to-winter feel. I’m wearing an XS in the dress.

Slim Retro Sneakers: My Favorite Casual Shoe Trend
Chunky dad sneakers aren’t my pick this season. I’m loving these slim retro sneakers in chocolate brown instead. They’re so comfortable, and I adore how they look with dark-wash jeans and a black leather bomber. It’s an easy casual outfit that still feels chic. I’m wearing a size 24 in the jeans and an XS in the jacket.

Pointy-Toe Mules: An Easy Way to Make an Outfit Feel Modern
Last on my list of the hottest fall shoe trends is Pointy-toe mules! I love mules because there’s no back pressing on your foot, and they look so modern. These burgundy calf-hair mules are one of my favorite pairs. The texture adds something special, and the pointy toe works beautifully with my “legs for days” bootcut jeans. I finished the look with a brown top and a cropped bomber jacket. I’m wearing an XS in the top and jacket and a size 24 in the jeans.
