TOP 8 SPRING TRENDS OF 2019

Good morning friends!  I hope you’re week is going well, I’m playing catch up from being out of town all last week!  Spring is quickly approaching so now is the time to start thinking about which trends you would like to incorporate into your wardrobe.  I’ve highlighted 8 of the best spring trends of 2019 and given you my top picks from each category.  Remember, I recommend only adding a few trends to your wardrobe which should already be made of mostly wardrobe staples.  If you’re not sure you have all the essentials to get the most out of your wardrobe which will in turn make getting dressed in the mornings so much easier be sure and check out my latest post titled: 10 WARDROBE BASICS EVERY WOMAN SHOULD OWN.

TOP 10 SPRING TRENDS OF 2019:

1.) LUSCIOUS LAVENDER:

One of my top 3 favorite trends no doubt!  I literally just did a post wearing lavender 2 days ago and if you look at my Instagram feed you’ll see a ton of this gorgeous spring shade.  I love pairing lavender with grays, whites, and light blue denim and of course throwing a snake print in the mix will always amp up your look a bit!

The stunning lavender moto jacket I’m wearing is by Blanknyc, my favorite affordable moto jacket designer.  I have this exact jacket in 3 other colors because it’s that good.  The fit is impeccable and the suede is high-quality and very soft.  The best part, this uber chic jacket which I declare to be the perfect spring jacket is under $200 making it quite a steal!

2.) SLEEK SNAKE PRINT:

Another one of my top 3 favorite spring trends is snake print!  A subtle way to wear this trend is to wear a pair of snake print heels or a simple snake print cami – remember you don’t need to overboard when it comes to incorporating trends into your wardrobe.

I have several pairs of snake print heels and wear them a ton with spring pastels and light colored denim.  The mules I’m wearing are from Barney’s and are very comfortable because the heel height is only 3.5 inches.  They are a bit pricey so I found these that I love which are just as chic but a fraction of the price.  I also have a snake print cami that I love, you may remember me wearing it from this recent post and it’s under $40!

3.) HIGH-RISE STRAIGHT LEG DENIM:

Another one of my top 3 favorite spring trends and one that I literally live in which is the straight leg, high waisted denim!  This style of denim is hot and very flattering as long as you style them the correct way – check out my latest post in these jeans for some styling tips.  My absolute favorite high-rise straight leg jean is the Riley by Agolde.  I have them in white and light blue and wear them a ton because they’re that good!  You can view another post I did wearing the Riley titled:  BALMAIN BLAZER DUPE.  They run true to size, I got a size 25 in both colors.

4.) SAVVY STRIPES:

I don’t wear prints very often and if I’m being honest, there are only a few I will wear, stripes being one of them.  My favorite way to wear this trend is also very subtle by pairing a sleek striped cami or simple striped tee under a blazer or moto jacket.

5.)  NEAT NEUTRALS:

We are seeing everything from blazers, sweaters, jeans, and cami’s in this classic neutral shade which is basically tan or beige.  I love a classic and chic monochromatic neutral look in the spring or summer.  I recommend adding a few basics in this on-trend neutral shade because this is the one trend that doesn’t seem too trendy so you’ll be able to pair these neutral pieces with a ton of other pieces in your wardrobe.

6.) PRETTY PASTELS:

Pastels scream spring and this season we are seeing them everywhere!  I recently did a post in really pretty pastel yellow wrap sweater that’s on sale now for only $50 so be sure and check out that post!  I love pastels paired with white jeans, light denim jeans and even black and grays.  There are so many pretty pastel dresses out right now too which would be so perfect for a spring or summer wedding or Easter or Mother’s day.

7.)  TO DIE FOR TIE-DIE:

Not my favorite trend but it’s a hot trend none the less.  I would recommend not going crazy on this trend, maybe only adding a simple tie-dye tee or cami to your wardrobe and pair it under a chic blazer or edgy leather jacket.

8.) UTILITY CHIC:

I’m definitely a huge fan of this cool-girl effortless trend!  If I’m being honest I own way too many army jackets, but in my defense, I literally live in them all year round!  I also love a laid-back effortless army pant paired with a simple white tee, black leather jacket or blazer, and a chic sneaker!  This is a trend I’ve been wearing for years and will for sure be wearing a ton this season!
