Good morning ladies! With summertime quickly approaching I thought it would be the perfect time to share a summer capsule wardrobe with y’all.  I’ve spent hours going through my closet and perusing all of my favorite online stores to come up with the absolute best summer capsule wardrobe.  All of these amazing pieces can be mixed and matched and worn together to create tons of chic summer looks for both casual and dressy occasions.  Make sure to scroll all the way down to see how I’ve created numerous outfits using only these 18 pieces proving the versatility and functionality of a well thought out capsule wardrobe.

1.) DENIM DRESS:

If you don’t own a denim dress, it’s time to invest in one for the summer season! A denim dress is a must-have piece for spring and summer that is so versatile and goes with anything in your closet. Wear it with your favorite sneakers on a casual day or your fancy heels for a girl’s night out. The outfit options are endless. This dress runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS. 2.) BLACK SLIP DRESS:

Slip dresses are one of the hottest trends of summer 2020, and I’m all about it! There are so many ways to wear slip dresses, including layered with a tied-up white blouse like I featured here. I think it adds a bit of edge to my look! This black one is currently on sale making it a great time to add to your summer wardrobe. It runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS. 3.) GOLD SLIDES:

I’ve mentioned how much I adore these gold slides before. I seriously wear them all the time because they’re that good! They are super comfortable and a sandal you are guaranteed to wear with everything. If these are too pricy, I love these Steve Madden ones just as much that are under $100! 4.) UNDER $100 DENIM JACKET:

If you know me at all, you know I’m obsessed with anything denim! Denim is one of the chicest and simplest pieces you can wear whether it’s denim shorts, jeans, or a denim jacket like this one. Jean jackets are simple and good to have for any occasion and any season. Pairing a denim jacket with a dress is one of my all-time favorite looks for summer. I like a more over sized fit when it comes to a denim jacket, so I sized up one size and am wearing a small.

5.) WHITE V-NECK TEE:

I believe that every woman should own at least a couple basic tees for her spring and summer wardrobe. I highly recommend this white one because it’s super affordable and perfect for the casual days! Tying it at the waist is the cool-girl way to wear a white tee and jeans. I went up to a size small for a more oversized fit.

6.) AGOLDE RILEY’S:

Once again, denim for the win! You’ll find me wearing these Agolde Rileys all summer long because they’re extremely comfortable. I also love the lighter wash to wear with light shades in the summertime! Not to mention these jeans are super flattering, too! I suggest sizing up one size in these, I’m wearing a 25.

7.) SCHUTZ NUDE HEELS:

Some of my all-time favorite heels to wear all year long, but especially in the spring and summer! I love the nude ones, and they also come in black which I have too. I wear these quite often because they’re so comfortable and look amazing with a variety of outfits. These are under $200 which is actually an amazing price for Schutz heels.

8.) SNAKE PRINT BELT:

This belt is the one accessory that will bring an outfit to the next level. I wear this one a ton! The snake print trend won’t be going out of style any time soon. I’m a true believer that adding a belt to a denim look really completes an outfit. Check out this belt in one of my recent posts titled: BEST DENIM OF 2020.

9.) AGOLDE SHORTS:

These denim shorts are hands down my favorite shorts for summer! Not only are they comfortable to wear just about anywhere, they’re a great length and super age appropriate. I would recommend sizing up one size, I’m wearing a size 26.

10.) AGOLDE WHITE BODYSUIT:

A chic white bodysuit like this one from Agolde is a summertime favorite of mine. The versatility of a white bodysuit is endless because it goes with every denim wash and any cardigan or blazer you own. Most importantly, bodysuits are so convenient because you never have to worry about them coming untucked! This one runs true to size, and I’m wearing an XS.

11.) OVER-SIZED WHITE BLAZER:

This white blazer is a summer wardrobe must-have because it’s so good! I love wearing blazers with cut-offs like I’ve featured here because it makes them more age appropriate and classy. This one by Alice and Olivia is on sale right now, however, I love this one from Nordstrom just as much that’s under $50! It runs true to size, and I’m wearing an XS.

12.) WHITE BUTTON-DOWN:

A white button-down is a spring and summer essential to say the least! A white blouse will literally go with anything in your closet and is a simple way to look super put together. I know I’ll be wearing this button-down on repeat this summer! This one by Lafayette is currently on sale, however, I love this budget-friendly one from Nordstrom, too! It runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

13.) BLACK GOING OUT TOP:

This black top is perfect for any date night or girl’s night out because it’s gorgeous and edgy all wrapped into one! It’s so soft and comfortable. Would you believe me if I told you it’s under $50?! Such a great deal! This top runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

Also, these black shorts are the same style as the ones above- the Dee short by Agolde. They are so good because they’re high-waisted and a bit longer than your typical pair of denim shorts which makes them super flattering.

14.) BEIGE HANDBAG:

As you can see from all of these looks, I’m carrying my versatile YSL beige handbag which is unfortunately sold out, however, I highly recommend adding this beige one by Rebecca Minkoff. It looks very similar yet it’s a fraction of the price!

15.) GOLD CHAIN NECKLACE:

I’ve worn this necklace with every single look proving it’s versatility!  If you only add one accessory to your summer necklace collection, let it be this one!

16.) UNDER $100 FAUX LEATHER JACKET:

I’m obsessed with this faux leather jacket because of the neutral color for summer! I also love that it’s under $100, but faux leather, making it look way more expensive than it really is. It runs true to size, and I’m wearing an XS.

17.) WHITE JEANS:

Can a girl really ever own too many pairs of white jeans!? White jeans are a definite must in every spring and summer collection. They’re extremely versatile and guarantee to polish any look. These run true to size, I’m wearing a 25.

18.) GOLDEN GOOSE SNEAKERS:

I wear these sneakers a ton and I’ve had them for years making the cost per wear super reasonable! Sneakers are great to wear with any jean or denim shorts look in the spring and summer months. If these are out of your budget, I love these similar Steve Madden sneakers for a budget-friendly option.
