5 CHIC-TO-DEATH ITEMS TO UPDATE YOUR WARDROBE IN 2019

Happy Friday gorgeous ladies!  I can’t believe it’s 2019 already, I feel like 2018 literally flew by!  There’s nothing like the new year to motivate you to update your current wardrobe.  The following 5 staples are items that every girl should have her in her closest, this will ensure you never have that stressful feeling when you get up in the mornings of not having anything to wear.  The 5 basics below are items that can be worn multiple ways and to multiple occasions to ensure you’ll be looking uber chic on a daily basis!

1.) STATEMENT JACKET:

I’m a huge fan of jackets, if you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know this because I wear jackets and jeans literally ALL THE TIME!  I would say this is my go-to outfit formula no matter where I’m going unless it’s a very dressy event in which case I would wear a dress or jumpsuit.  That being said it’s important to keep a few uber chic jackets on hand that you can throw on with your favorite pair of jeans and look super polished and put together.  The one I’m wearing is by Blanknyc, one of my all-time affordable jacket designers!

2.) BLACK BOOTIES:

Probably one of the most worn items in my closet during the fall and winter: black booties.  It’s imperative that you have a good go-to pair of black booties in your shoe collection that are wearable and comfortable, yet very stylish!  I love the ones I’m wearing because the heel height is only 3 inches which means they’re very wearable and I love the fact that they’re suede making them look way more expensive than they really are.  These are almost sold out so I linked several other chic boots below that are both wearable and stylish!

3.) WEAR WITH EVERYTHING NECKLACE:

Each season I find a necklace I love and I literally wear it with everything including this gorgeous blue velvet blazer that’s on sale for under $50! 4.) BUTTON FLY DENIM:

In 2019 we’re seeing a few denim trends that are taking over and one of my favorites is the uber slimming button fly jean.  You may have seen these before on my blog (scroll down because they’re in look 2 of this blog post) because I’m literally obsessed with these jeans and wear them a ton!  They’re a mega high-rise which means they make your legs look ridiculously long and slim, always a plus, and I love the faded gold buttons!  This edgy faded black wash (which is my personal favorite wash) will go everything making them super versatile.  They’re also crazy comfortable because they have a bit of stretch to them.  I took my regular size, I’m wearing a size 25.

5.) QUALITY HANDBAG:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, a handbag is definitely something you should invest in and here’s why:  It’s something you carry every day with all of your looks so it needs to be high quality.  It doesn’t need to be designer but does need to look good and not look cheap.  My favorite high quality yet very affordable brand of handbags is Rebecca Minkoff.  All of her handbags look amazing yet they won’t drain your bank account.  For those of you who would love to splurge on a designer handbag, I’ve handpicked my favorite’s of 2019 below, happy shopping!
