MEET YOUR PERFECT WEEKEND JACKET AND IT’S UNDER $100

Good morning ladies and happy Friday!  I’m having all of my high school girlfriends over tonight for wine and appetizers so I’m already predicting a slight hangover Saturday morning, lol!

If you’ve been following for a while now then you know I’m a jeans and jacket kinda girl!  I literally live in jeans, a jacket, and a pair of heels.  With that being said you can never have too many casual jackets hanging in your closet especially when they’re under $100!  A casual jacket can easily be dressed up or down depending on what you style it with proving the versatility of this casual yet chic jacket!  Check out how to wear a linen jacket for a dressy occasion such as brunch or a girl’s night and a more casual occasion like an easy casual day look perfect for running errands on the weekends.

DRESSY:

For a more dressier look, I would style this chic jacket exactly as I did in this post: with uber cool jeans and a pair of sleek heels.  I would wear this dressy look on a date night, girl’s night out, and even to a fun weekend brunch!

CASUAL:

For a more casual ensemble pair this linen jacket with some fun sneakers (I’m a huge fan of Golden Goose sneakers), a more basic tee and the same jeans. This casual look would be perfect to wear to run errands in, to travel in, to wear to a kid’s sporting event or really anywhere you know you’ll be doing a ton of walking so you need to be comfortable.  If you want to look comfortable AND chic, well wear this exact combo I described above!

OUTFIT DETAILS:

This uber chic linen field jacket comes in 4 gorgeous colors and I seriously love them all!  The olive green would probably be my second choice and for all of you Highland Park moms how cute would the yellow one be to wear to a game with jeans?!  I love the drawstring waistline on this jacket because it makes the jacket super flattering and of course I love wearing it with the sleeves rolled up!  This under $100 jacket would no doubt be a great addition to any wardrobe and I promise if you decide to grab one you’ll find yourself wearing this effortless jacket all time, I know I do!  It runs true to size, I’m wearing a size XS.

My jeans are by 3×1 and I adore the edgy bleach detailing on these cool-girl jeans!  SHOPBOP has a wide selection of 3×1 denim.  The raw edge hem is super cool too and the fit is very flattering since they’re high-rise with an ankle length which is the perfect formula for making your legs look longer and slimmer, need I say more?!  If you’ve never tried 3×1 denim before I highly recommend them because they’re not only super flattering but they’re extremely comfortable too!  These jeans run true to size, I’m wearing a size 25.

My silver and clear heels are by Schutz and this style of heel looks just like some Gianvito Rossi ones yet these are a fraction of the price!  The silver and clear color combo literally match everything and they have an elongating effect on your legs since they’re like wearing a pair of nude heels.  I’ve only had these heels a short time and I’ve already worn them a ton proving their versatility!

My white metallic trimmed tee is such a good tee that’s not so basic since it has the chic metallic trim.  This tee looks so perfect layered under any chic jacket and of course by itself!  It’s under $100 making it quite a steal a definite must-have.  It comes in 4 color combos and I love them all.  I have the black and gold and the gray and gold too and wear them constantly under all of my favorite jackets!  I highly recommend adding one of these not so basic tees your t-shirt collection!
