7 WAYS TO WEAR LEATHER + THE CHICEST UNDER $50 FAUX LEATHER SHIRT JACKET

Happy Wednesday ladies!  Leather, faux or real, is one of fall’s hottest trends as you may know if you caught my latest blog post and YouTube video titled:  FALL’S TOP 10 TRENDS. It’s my personal favorite fall trend and it’s actually more of a wardrobe staple than a trend if you ask me.  Leather will always be in style and has been for quite some time now.  There are so many ways to wear leather, dressy and casual, so in today’s post, I’m going to share a YouTube video featuring 8 WAYS TO WEAR LEATHER so be sure and check that out to see all of the chic and stylish ways you can wear leather.  I’m featuring 4 leather pieces in today’s look on the blog (the other 4 are in my YouTube Video) and of them is under $50, can you guess what it is?  If you guessed a faux leather shirt jacket then give yourself a huge pat on the back because that’s the answer!

4 WAYS TO WEAR LEATHER FROM THIS POST (FAUX AND REAL):

1.)  WEAR A SHIRT JACKET:

The first way to wear leather is by wearing this incredibly chic faux leather shirt jacket by Who What Wear for Target.  Who What Wear is actually one of all time favorite blogs, I read it religiously every single morning with my coffee and I get a ton of inspiration from it for my own personal blog which is great.  Who What Wear started designing their own line for Target a few years ago and I’ll have to admit I’m a huge fan of the entire line!  Everything is so on-trend and very affordable!

My faux leather shirt jacket is one of their latest pieces and I’m obsessed!  I adore this rich burgundy shade which is one of my favorite colors to wear in the fall and winter by the way.  I love it worn unbuttoned more like a jacket as I styled it in this post, but it also looks super cool buttoned up and tucked into an amazing pair of jeans like the model styled it.  The possibilities are endless proving the versatility and the wearability of this effortless shirt jacket.  The best part, this faux leather top comes in black too and it’s under $50!  Grab this top for yourself and feel free to grab a few more for the perfect under $50 gift for some of the fashion lovers on your Christmas list since the price point is so good!

2.)  WEAR A LEATHER BELT:

This is one of the simplest and easiest ways to incorporate leather into your fall ensembles.   I honestly don’t feel like my looks are complete unless I have a belt on, anyone else feel that way?  I have about 4 belts that I wear and they’re all black leather with either a gold or silver buckle.  Try adding a belt and tucking your shirt in or at least the half-tuck and I promise your look will be taken up a few notches not to mention you’ll look taller and slimmer because wearing a belt was one of the many style tips I gave in a recent blog post and YouTube video titled:  10 WAYS TO LOOK SLIMMER IN YOUR CLOTHES. 

3.) CARRY A LEATHER HANDBAG:

Handbags are another easy and effortless way to incorporate leather into your fall and winter looks.  STYLE TIP:  Handbags, shoes, and outerwear are the 3 things I always recommend investing a bit more in because those are items you will wear and use on a daily basis.  Want to hear more, check out my recent YouTube video and blog post titled:  5 INVESTMENT PIECES EVERY WOMEN SHOULD OWN. 

I’ve had this Chanel leather Boy Bag for about 5 years and I bet I’ve carried it over 100 times proving it’s cost per wear.  If a Chanel handbag is out of your budget, no worries, Rebecca Minkoff makes a ton of high-quality leather bags and they’re all very affordable!

4.) WEAR LEATHER BOOTS:

My favorite shoes to wear in the fall and winter are leather knee-high boots.  They allow you to wear a heel yet still be fairly warm which is exactly what I want when the cooler temps hit.  There are a ton of leather boots on the market right now, but I will say that my favorite leather boots are these amazing snake print boots by Schutz!  I love this snake print which is another huge fall trend right now.  They’re also reasonably comfortable since the heel height is only 3 1/2 inches.  These also come in black which I have too because they’re that good and they come in GOLD!  Yes, you heard me correctly, these fabulous boots come in GOLD which I may just have to have!  I would pair the gold ones with light denim and a white faux fur jacket for the perfect winter white look sure to turn a few heads!
