I LOVE jeans and wear them a ton so I’m always looking for my next pair. When I’m searching for jeans I keep these 3 simple rules in mind:
1.) COMFORT – This is the first thing I notice when I try a pair of jeans on. If they aren’t comfortable then I won’t buy them, period. The fabric has to have at least a little bit of stretch in it to feel good on.
2.) A GOOD WASH – It just depends on what type of jean I’m looking for, but, most of the time I want denim with a little character and a more unique wash than your typical every day denim. Citizens of Humanity has mastered this in their denim. The pair I’m wearing in this post is a medium gray distressed wash that is perfect all year round. I love them paired with whites and grays in the spring and summer, and in the fall I’ll be wearing them with blacks and burgundies. This gray color is the most versatile color of jean you can have in your closet, trust me you will wear these with everything!
3.) THE PERFECT FIT – These are high-rise skinny jeans, I realize this isn’t a style that every body type can wear, but if you’re waist is a feature that you would like to accentuate then this high-rise style that’s all the rage right now is perfect for you! It makes your legs look longer and leaner because the waist line sits up higher, about an inch above your belly button.
I’ve worn these jeans a ton paired with various things in my closet such as red leather jacket, white tee and white pumps (see the post here), a burgundy sweater and black ankle booties, and even a simple black tank and some leopard heels. The possibilities are endless because these jeans are so versatile! I highly recommend adding a pair of gray jeans to wardrobe, you’ll be surprised at how much they go with!
Thank you for stopping by today! Have a great week!! XOXO, Heather
