ALL ABOUT MY RECENT TRIP TO BALI (INCLUDING WHAT I WORE) + THE BEST BOOK I’VE READ IN A REALLY LONG TIME
Wow, I just got back from the most incredible trip to Bali! The BEST part is I took this trip solo as my therapist told me the best way to g really know yourself is to travel alone. I thought this was exactly what I needed to do post-divorce. And let me tell you this was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I came home feeling lighter, energized, and refreshed. I spent my time doing what I wanted to do, not worrying about what the person I was with would like. It felt good only to have to worry about myself. I had lots of fun swimming in the ocean, practicing yoga, eating delicious and healthy food, and watching the monkeys play in the luscious jungle (my personal favorite thing)!
The first 4 nights I stayed at the most beautiful beach resort called COMO UMA CANGGU which was about an hour and a half from the airport. They had 2 gorgeous pools, an incredible restaurant that overlooked the gorgeous ocean, and the food was to die for! I spent most of my days here getting massages at their serene spa located on site and relaxing in their comfy beds which hung from the ceiling and had the most insane view of the incredible ocean and pool!
The second 4 nights I spent at a yoga wellness retreat center located in the luscious tropical jungle in Bali and this was my favorite place of the 2. It was called COMO SHAMBHALA ESTATE and when I tell you the views were to die for that would be an understatement. They literally took my breath away. I felt like I was right in the middle of a Tarzan storybook, they were that incredible!! I practiced yoga every day, ate their delicious (and healthy) food, got facials and massages, and hiked in the beautiful tropical forest watching the cute little monkeys which was my favorite thing to do by the way. The first movie I ever saw was King Kong when I was a little girl and ever since then I’ve been obsessed with monkeys and gorillas, lol.
I used the most amazing travel agent, Melissa Hammer from Captivating Escapes. She planned my entire trip and made everything go seamlessly and I so appreciated that! So if you’re looking for an amazing travel agent I highly recommend her!

I got the chance to relax and read some really incredible self-help books. One of my favorite ones was actually written by my therapist Janice Guant. I wrote one of the endorsements for this life-changing book on dating and self-love and here is what I had to say about it:
If I’m being honest even the thought of dating again left a pit in my stomach which I’m certain stemmed from fear! However, after reading “Prince Charming is Either Dead or in Rehab” I now have newfound confidence and wisdom which has allowed me to feel much better about entering the dating world. This inspiring and healing book has given me a plethora of useful tools I can practice every day which will help me focus on healing my own heart first so I can “fix my picker” as the author says is one of the key factors in attracting Mr. Marvelous. The first look I wore during my trip to Bali features this amazing crochet dress from Revolve. So many of my looks are from there because their items are so versatile! Obviously, the colors on this dress are to die for, talk about dopamine dressing! I also love how it can be worn as a swimsuit coverup! I’m wearing an XS and it fits true to size.
CUYANA HAT:
A chic sunhat is a must whether you’re lounging by the pool or walking the beach and this hat by Cuyana is one of my all-time faves! I’ve owned this style for years and when my last one was looking too worn after many, many wears I picked up another of the exact same one because I loved it so much! It comes in 5 colors and is adjustable for those of us who need a smaller size.

YELLOW TOP:
Another affordable summer staple from Revolve! This one-shoulder top is incredibly flattering thanks to the ruching on the side and the jersey fabric. It comes in a bright green and white shade as well and is super affordable with a price point under $60! I’m wearing an XS in this summer wardrobe essential.
DENIM MINI SKIRT:
Who doesn’t love a fabulous denim skirt? I personally love my legs so I feel very comfortable showing them off in a mini skirt like this. If that’s not you, that’s okay! I love the light wash for the summer months and the high waist is super flattering. I’m wearing an XS in this chic mini skirt.

This next look was one of my favorite outfits I wore on my trip to Bali! This matching set from Revolve is such a gorgeous shade of blue and the fabric has a bit of stretch to it so it’s incredibly comfortable AND breathable! Perfect for those humid tropical evenings. I’m wearing an XS and find it fits true to size.
CROCHET SKIRT:
How fun is the fringe on the bottom of this skirt?! I think it really takes it to the next level. The flattering high waist on this skirt makes it the perfect counterpart to the matching top because you get a cropped look without exposing too much of your midriff. I’m wearing an XS in the skirt as well.
BIKINI TOP XS // BIKINI BOTTOM XS // COVER UP // SUN HAT

I had SO many messages about this swimsuit from you all and I can absolutely see why. It has an additional tie that can be used for extra support, as a design element, or not at all ( which is how I wore it). The fit is fantastic and the padding is removable if you so choose. I’m wearing a size small and find it fits true to size.
BIKINI BOTTOMS:
I really love the extra strap on the bottoms of this swimwear because it gives the illusion of a higher waist without adding any bulk. The back is giving almost full coverage and with the right size, you shouldn’t have any cutting in! I’m wearing a size small in the bottoms as well.
GOLD COVER-UP:
This cover-up has been a long-time favorite of mine. and it’s doubly on trend because of the gorgeous golden metallic shade which is very popular this year. I almost always wear it open but it does have a tie closure at the waist and you know I’m a sucker for a chic fringe! If you are in need of a swimwear coverup this year, this would be my top pick!

No surprise, here is another FABULOUS resort wear dress from Revolve. The knit fabric is incredibly flattering and makes it look far more expensive than it really is. I also love the contouring on the bust that creates the illusion of a flattering silhouette on the dress itself! I’m wearing an XS and find it fits true to size.

Crochet dresses and skirts are having a huge moment right now so when I saw this crochet dress in one of my favorite colors I knew it was coming with me on my trip to Bali. I love the knit fabric and the side seam slit makes it perfect for a little extra breeze on those extra hot days. I wear an XS in this chic knit dress and I find it fits true to size.

I got SO many compliments and people asking me where I got this set from on my trip to Bali! Honestly, I think this is one of my favorite looks from my whole trip. I love the details of this cutout top and the color is just perfect. I’m wearing an XS in this chic & edgy summer top.
SKIRT:
The matching skirt looks fantastic with the top as a resort wear look, but can also easily be styled for at home as well. I actually recently styled a look that paired a very similar skirt with a fantastic denim jacket in a recent blog post and it was a huge hit! I’m wearing an XS in this versatile summer skirt.
