6 WAYS TO STYLE AN ARMY JACKET + $800 GIVEAWAY TO NORDSTROM

If I had to pick one type of jacket that’s the most versatile is would hands down be the army jacket! I own quite a few army jackets and wondered why…so here’s my answer: they’re so effortless and can be styled so many ways and worn dressy or casual proving their wearability! I thought it would be fun to dedicate a post featuring my 5 favorite army jackets all styled differently for different occasions.
LOOK 1 ABOVE:
I wore this look out to dinner last weekend. We took my son, Tyler, to Eddie V’s and enjoyed a good steak and my favorite dessert, Banana’s Foster! This army jacket is my latest addition to my army jacket collection, it’s was 55% off on the The Outnet so I just couldn’t resist! It’s by Marissa Webb, one of my favorite designers, the cut of this jacket is so good and uber flattering because it accentuates your waist. You can also wear it un-tied for a more casual vibe and pair it with cut-offs and sneakers for the perfect casual off duty look! This jacket runs big, so size down one size. I’m wearing a size XS.
WHAT TO WEAR WITH ARMY JACKETS:
The obvious answer: denim and this is a good one, especially denim that’s under $70, it’s what I wear with army jackets 99% of the time. However, I love a chic army over jacket worn over a maxi dress or midi dress for a more dressier ensemble. I also adore wearing an army jacket with black leather pants and a lace cami for a more dressy look. For an ultra casual look try pairing an army jacket with a pair of ripped jeans, a simple tee and some chic sneakers. I wear this casual look a ton on the weekends when I’m out and about running errands.

I got this army jacket during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, YOU CAN VIEW THE FULL POST TITLED: THE 5 BEST PAIRS OF JEANS FROM THE NSALE by clicking HERE. It sold out so quickly, but has been restocked in all sizes, yay! It’s by Madewell so it’s great quality and under $100! I love that it’s on the shorter side, since I’m only 5’4 I wear almost always wear shorter jackets because they make me appear taller and thinner. It runs true to size, I’m wearing a size XS.
FYI: This entire look sold out so quickly during the Nordstrom sale, but has been restocked including this $20 striped tee, these uber slimming Good American jeans, and my comfy mules. Size down in the jeans, they run big, I’m wearing a size 00.
This is the dressiest of the army jacket outfits and my personal favorite! I wore this look to a store opening event in HP Village, I’ve also worn it on a date night and girl’s night out! The best part, this incredibly cool army jacket by Ralph Lauren is on SALE! It runs tts, I’m wearing a size XS.
Wear this uber casual ensemble on the weekends or during the day to run errands for the perfect off duty look!
This exact army jacket is sold out, but I love this one from Revolve that’s super similar and equally as fabulous! I would wear this look on a date night or girl’s night out. You could also make it super casual by swapping out the heels for some chic sneakers.
