TGIF ladies! Who else loves wearing denim as much as I do? If you read my blog or watch my YouTube videos then I’m guessing you do! Jeans are effortless and easy to style and they can literally be worn in so many different ways and to a huge variety of places which is why I adore them so much.
You may have seen my blog post last month I did showcasing the best denim for women over 40 so be sure and check that out as well for even more incredible styles of jeans that look good on many different body types. But today’s blog post and video are all about what denim is hot right NOW and which denim styles will still hold firm in 2023.
I’m sharing 5 styles of jeans featured in 5 different fall looks so if your denim collection is in need of a refresh then grab your coffee and get comfortable. The following 5 styles of denim are not only universally flattering but rest assured they will be very on-trend in 2023!

SPLIT HEM DENIM:
Split-hem jeans are trending SO hard right now and these jeans by Mother are the ideal pair in my opinion! They are incredibly slimming because of the high waist and flare leg and the wash is one you can wear all year round. I especially love the edgy vibe the split hem gives to this look. I’m wearing a size 24 in this trending denim.

WIDE LEG JEANS:
Next on my list of top denim trends of 2023 are wide-leg jeans! These ones from Express are high-waisted so they are very slimming and as a petite woman I love that you can order them in different lengths. I’m 5’4 and I always get the regular length in a size 0 regular. They actually remind of some designer jeans I have but they’re a fraction of the price for under $50!

PUDDLED HEM LINES:
The big thing in the denim world now is to wear your jeans long so they puddle on the floor slightly. The best way to achieve this look without compromising the fit elsewhere on your body is to opt for a pair of jeans that comes in different lengths. Simply get your regular size in the waist and opt for a slightly longer length! These are my current favorite jeans that feature a high-waisted and baggy fit and I’m wearing a wearing a size 24.

STRAIGHT-LEG DENIM WITH NO RIPS:
Another trend you will see everywhere this winter season and into 2023 is straight-leg jeans with NO distressing! Now, you all know that I love my ripped denim, but these jeans called the Rider by Mother (one of my favorite denim designers) are simply fantastic. If fact, this fit is by far the MOST SLIMMING of all the jeans featured in this edit! I’m wearing a size 24 in these jeans which are one of the top denim trends of 2023.

THE MODERN SKINNY JEAN:
You may be wondering what is the modern skinny jean? Well, it’s a high-waisted denim with a slim straight leg that is tapered at the bottom making them the perfect pair of jeans to wear with boots! I adore these ones by Madewell, especially the vintage wash that goes with literally everything!
THE ONE DENIM TREND THAT IS OUT OF STYLE IS THE ORIGINAL SKINNY JEAN WHICH IS BASICALLY THAT LOW-WAISTED JEGGING STYLE JEAN – Stay away from that style if you want to look more modern and updated!
