SUMMER WARDROBE CHECKLIST

This button down shirt is by Citizens of Humanity and is the perfect over-sized shirt in my opinion. I love wearing it as I am in the photo but I also love wearing it unbuttoned and open over a bodysuit, more as a jacket! It was featured in my spring capsule wardrobe and what I said then is just as true now; Every wardrobe needs a classic white button down! I’m wearing an XS in this fantastic summer staple.

These denim shorts by Moussy have such a good fit that I had to add them to my list of summer staples. They are high-waisted and wider around the legs which means they actually have a slimming effect on your legs! I’m wearing a size 25, and I always say size up one size in your shorts, so be sure to order one size bigger.

The exact hat I’m wearing is unfortunately sold out, however, this one is very similar and JUST as fabulous! Adding a hat is guaranteed to elevate any look to the next level. I personally wear my black straw hat ALL the time in the summer, I chose it in a basic shade to make it a more versatile accessory so I could add it to as many looks as I want.

I find when I add this gold chain belt to a summer look it is almost always that little something extra that really polishes off an outfit. It’s a fabulous summer accessory and one I honestly couldn’t live without. I literally wear it all the time with shorts, jeans and dresses, and if you choose to shop this accessory I’m sure you will too!

This dress is so easy and comfortable, yet incredibly chic! It comes in 6 colors, including black which I personally own and love. I also ordered this dress for my 23-year-old daughter and she loves it just as much as I do, so you know it’s a winner all across the board. I’m wearing an XS in this gorgeous summe staple.

I basically live in my gold slides in the summertime and they go with almost every look you could dream up. Unfortunately the exact ones I’m wearing are sold out so I’m recommending these in replacement. I own and love both of these pairs of fabulous footwear so I’m sure you will too!

These jeans are perfect for summer because of the super-light wash. They are high-waisted with a baggier fit which is exactly where the denim trend is headed so you will be right on trend in this dynamic denim. I find they run a bit small so be sure to size up one size. I’m wearing a size 25 in these fantastic jeans.

Finally I chose this amazing metallic handbag from Nordstrom as the last item on my summer staples list. I find I carry a metallic bag more than any other color this time of year. There is something about the shine and sparkle that captures the essence of warm summer date nights or drinks with the girls on the patio. The fact that this amazing leather bag is UNDER $100 is the cherry on top for this fabulous summer staple.
