Welcome SoHeather readers, I’m so excited to share this simple style formula with all of you because it helps me every single day! My hope is that it will help you too when it comes to getting dressed and putting outfits together. I always do several things when I get up and get ready for the day and one of them is obviously putting my outfit together. I use this particular style formula and it’s actually quite simple and very easy to emulate. I’m showing this easy outfit formula in the following 3 looks and an simple breakdown on how to copy this effortless style formula which is guaranteed to elevate all of your looks this year! MY GO-TO STYLE FORMULA:
1. ALWAYS ADD A THIRD LAYER:
Adding a third layer, whether that’s a shirt jacket, blazer or leather jacket, always elevates any look and really completes the outfit. It creates balance and interest within the look, and has the added bonus of keeping you comfortable. Adding a jacket is a sure-fire way to look more polished and put together, even if it’s a super casual shirt jacket like I’m wearing in my first look!

2. LAYER OVER A SIMPLE BODYSUIT, TANK, OR TEE:
Keeping it simple is all you need when deciding what top to wear under your jacket. Since the jacket is the hero piece, having plenty of high-quality basics such as neutral colored bodysuits and tees is key when it comes to building a well-functioning wardrobe. I always swear by Express & Skims bodysuits and ATM tees, they NEVER let me down and can be surprisingly affordable.

3. SLIP ON A REALLY GOOD PAIR OF JEANS:
Yep, I’m a denim lover through and through because jeans are a wardrobe staple that can be worn so many ways! From dressy to casual, denim can do it all. High-rise straight-leg denim is definitely the way to go in 2022 and that style of jean is very slimming and flattering. Some of my favorite all- time favorite brands of denim are Agolde, Mother, and Moussy, they all offer a fantastic selection of denim with a price range for any budget.
