Well, 2022 is in full swing and which means now is the perfect time to learn about what’s IN and what’s OUT in 2022!
It’s literally my job to research all the latest and greatest fashion trends and along with this also involves deciding on WHAT NOT TO WEAR this year. I’ve perused all of my favorite go-to sites for fashion trends such as Who What Wear, Pinterest of course, and attending a few killer fashion shows. One of my most recent fashion shows I actually watched online and so can all of you by clicking HERE. This amazing Saint Laurent Summer 2022 fashion show was filmed right next to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and words can not describe how incredible this YSL fashion show was so please check it out – I promise you will get some serious outfit inspiration, I sure did! 7 FASHION TRENDS OUT OF STYLE IN 2022:
OUT: LOW-WAISTED JEGGING JEANS || IN: HIGH-WAISTED FLARE JEANS
Super tight low-waisted jegging jeans are one of the fashion trends out of style in 2022 and I am not upset about it! I am definitely a high-waisted, straight legged denim kinda gal (IYKNYK) which is why I am thrilled that straight leg denim and high-waisted flares are in this year! I especially love these Unraveled Two jeans by EB denim in this gorgeous vintage wash, if you buy any denim this year, I would recommend these all day. I’m wearing a 24 for size reference.

OUT: BORING NEUTRALS || IN: POPS OF COLOR (SPECIFICALLY PINK)
It’s important to note that NEUTRALS aren’t out completely but rather NOT TRENDING as an overall color palate. Pairing a gorgeous bright color, such as this beautiful metallic midi dress in the shade Peony, with monochromatic staple pieces allows the pop of color to stand out! This dress in particular would be PERFECT for Valentines day IMO, which is just around the corner! I’m wearing an XS in this stunning dress.

OUT: BUTTONED UP LOOKS || IN: SEXY CUT-OUTS
The super conservative, buttoned up look is another one of the fashion trends out of style in 2022. Instead, we are going to see a lot more sexy cut outs and outfits where more skin is being shown in general, and I find the key to perfecting this look is to feature this trend either on the top OR bottom, NOT BOTH! If you plan to wear a cut out top – opt for a super chic pair of denim and vice-versa, if you are wearing a skirt that shows a bit of leg, opt for a top that gives you more coverage. This gorgeous dress from Cult Gaia does all the work for you and is a perfect example of how to ROCK this new trend with confidence and style! I’m wearing an XS in this stunning peice.

OUT: DRESSING DOWN || IN: GLAMOROUS GRUNGE
Last year, with the everyone being home ALOT more than usual, dressing down was trending pretty hard, but it would seem that most people are ready to get back out there and GLAM IT UP for 2022! I personally am LOVING this “Glamourous Grunge” look, the black denim jeans give it a grungy edge and the heels and fabulous accessories give it glamorous vibe!

OUT: REAL FUR || IN: FAUX FUR OR FAUX LEATHER
I personally love that REAL fur is included in fashion trends out of style in 2022. Faux fur is cruelty free and often more affordable, making it a must have trend this year. This faux fur Sherpa coat by Frame is SO comfortable and made from recycled polyester to make it even more earth- friendly. I’ve found a more budget-friendly version here with the same vibe and am STILL obsessed with these faux leather joggers by SPANX. I’m wearing an wearing an XS in the Sherpa coat.
