Good morning ladies!  I hope y’all had an amazing Easter Sunday filled with lots of family, friends, and blessings!  We went to church in the morning and then I had my family over for Easter dinner.  I’m pretty sure I won’t be cooking again for a while, lol!

I’ve talked about this exact topic before on my blog but it’s been a while so I feel like it’s important enough to talk about again.  The absolute most flattering skirt to wear no matter what your age is the midi skirt!  In today’s post, I’m going to share how to wear a leopard midi skirt both dressy and casual and I’m going to give you 3 reasons why the midi skirt is, in fact, the most flattering for all ages!

My uber chic leopard skirt is by Reformation a favorite brand of mine that Nordstrom has recently started carrying.  This brand is very eco-friendly and all of their pieces are very feminine and on trend!  The moment I laid eyes on this skirt I knew I wanted it!  I adore the leopard print because this print will literally never go out of style and since leopard really is a neutral I knew I could style it several ways with items I already owned including this classic black leather jacket.

3 REASONS THE MIDI SKIRT IS THE MOST FLATTERING FOR ALL AGES:

1.) It Hits Below the Knee:

As we get older our knees tend to show age more than any other part on our legs so any clothing item that’s going to hide this challenging area will tend to make us look younger which is always a plus!

2.) It Creates an Hour Glass Silhouette:

If you get a midi skirt with a high-waist like the one I’m wearing and like all of the skirts I’ve linked in this post then they will for sure create a slender silhouette which is sure to make you look taller and slimmer and let’s be honest who doesn’t want that?!

3.)  It Can Be Styled Numerous Ways:

Because the midi skirt is so versatile meaning it can be styled so many different ways then it’s for sure a skirt that can easily be worn by women of all ages.  If you’re on the younger side pair your midi skirt with a graphic tee and some fun sneakers for an effortless look perfect for the weekends.  If you’re on the more mature side try pairing your midi skirt with a polished blazer and a chic cami for a more sophisticated look perfect for the office or a date night.

HOW TO WEAR A LEOPARD MIDI SKIRT:

DRESSY:

I styled this chic Reformation midi skirt on the more dressy side.  The first thing that made my look more dressy are my heels by Stuart Weitzman which are a definite must-have!  I’ve had these heels for years and I love the simplicity of them because they go with everything and never take away from my outfit.  The heel is only 4 inches making them very wearable yet tall enough to really add some height which is why we wear heels in the first place, am I right!?

The second reason my look is on the more dressy side is because of my chic accessories.  The more necklaces we wear is always a sure fire way to dress up any look!  So the next time your getting dressed and wanting to amp up your look a bit try layering some necklaces together.

The last reason my look is dressy is because of the handbag I chose to carry.  My Gucci bag is one I’ve had for several years now and I love carrying this bag at night especially, but I also love carrying it during the daytime too.  It’s a little on the smaller side but it’s actually big enough for all of my essentials such as my phone, lipstick and credit card, honestly what else does a girl need!?

My black leather jacket seems more dressy because I draped it over my shoulders instead of wearing it the more normal way.  A black leather jacket is a definite staple in any wardrobe and this one by Iro is amazing!  The leather is butter soft and the fit is impeccable!  If you’ve been thinking about investing a good black leather jacket I highly recommend investing in an Iro leather jacket!  It runs true to size, I”m wearing a size 34 which is the same as an XS.  If this jacket isn’t in your budget, no worries, I love this one by Blanknyc from Nordstrom and it’s under $60!!

I would wear this dressy look to a luncheon, church, or brunch and even on a date night.  You could wear this look so many places proving the versatility of a midi skirt making it a definite must-have!

CASUAL:
