5 WAYS TO STYLE SUMMER’S MOST VERSATILE JACKET

The DENIM JACKET aka the jean jacket is undoubtedly the most versatile casual jacket a woman can own. In fact, I would go as far to say the jean jacket is the backbone of any functional summer wardrobe. Why, you may ask? Well, it’s because a denim jacket can be worn so many different ways, both casual AND dressy. If I had to pick the ONE type of jacket I wear most often in the summer it would hands-down be a jean jacket, which might explain why I own so many! I wear them with jeans, shorts, workout clothes, dresses, and skirts, as you can see below.

WITH A PAIR OF STRAIGHT LEG DENIM:
The fist denim jacket I’m showcasing is this white jean jacket from Alice & Olivia. I adore this jacket because of the vegan leather sleeves that are designed to look pushed up. I’m wearing an XS in this amazing jacket, and I paired it over these fabulous Mother Jeans. They do tend to run a bit small but they are high waisted with a baggier fit so you shouldn’t need to size up. I’m wearing a size 25.

OVER A MIDI DRESS:
I love tossing a jacket over a chic dress, and it’s another one of the many ways to style a denim jacket. This is one of my best selling dresses because it is so flattering and slimming. I’m wearing an XS and it also comes in several colors to fit any color palate. The denim jacket is by Free People and the price point is fantastic! I’m wearing an XS in this gorgeous ivory summer staple.

WITH A MIDI SKIRT:
A midi skirt is always a chic way to elevate a denim jacket, and this one by Free People is a great option! This color is unfortunately almost sold out but it’s available in black AND on sale (making it under $50) and fully stocked! I’m wearing an XS in this perfect summer skirt, as well as this fabulous cropped jean jacket from Express that I paired overtop.

For this example of how to style a denim jacket I’ve styled the same jean jacket as above with this amazing pair of white denim jeans from Express! They are perfectly distressed and SO comfortable! They are also an amazing value for under $100 and I’m wearing a size 0 regular for size reference.

My final example of how to style a denim jacket is this look I’ve curated featuring this elegant LBD from FRAME denim. I’m wearing an XS in this chic little number and I find it fits tts. I also love this one by Michael Stars for a more budget-friendly option because it is equally as fabulous but easer on the wallet!
