3 Work-out Regimens Helping Me Stay Fit At 47

I get a ton of questions from you guys about my fitness regimen so I thought I would dedicate today’s entire post to fitness!  I’m a firm believer in exercise not only because it makes you look better but more importantly it makes you FEEL better!  I workout religiously 6 days a week and trust me when I say I do it more because of how it makes me FEEL versus how it makes me look.  I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again the size I am has 85% to do with what I eat NOT with how much I workout.  If you’re wondering what I eat to stay fit check out this video I created titled: HOW I STAY FIT OVER 40.  Since working out makes me feel so good on the inside I wanted to share these 3 different workouts I practice on a weekly basis.  They’re each very different and I get a wide array of age-defying benefits from each one.  If you’re looking to add a new workout regimen to your daily routine then keep scrolling because these 3 amazing fitness routines definitely help me stay fit over 40!   My all-time favorite workout regimen and one that I’ve practiced for over 12 years is last so make sure you scroll all the way down to check that one out.

MY 3 FAVORITE FITNESS ROUTINES:

1.) TRACY ANDERSON METHOD:

This is definitely one of my most loved workouts I do on a consistent basis. I have the app making it literally so convenient to do from home. I simply go upstairs 2 days a week in my bedroom, and it only takes 30 minutes so it’s super-fast yet a really good work out. All you need is a mat and 3-pound weights! I see the biggest difference in my behind. Tracy is a woman who is also in her 40’s and in incredible shape, so she motivates me to look my best…plus her workouts are challenging! She has 3 different levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced – I do the intermediate and it’s a great workout.

2. NINETY20:

I’ve been doing this workout for about a year and a half now, and I’ve definitely been able to see a difference, including more defined muscles and overall tightness in my body. I love it because you actually get a 90-minute high-intensity gym class or personal training session in only 20 minutes. The way it works is you wear a vibrating suit while you workout that works your muscles while you’re exercising! It’s a super cool concept! It’s scientifically proven to be effective and safe by reputable sports universities and used by doctors, health clinics, physiotherapists, and athletes for more than 50 years all over the world.

3.) BIKRAM HOT YOGA:

I’ve been doing hot yoga religiously for over 12 years and it’s hands down my favorite workout of all time. It’s detoxifying, energizing, and makes me feel like a million dollars every time I do it! Not only does yoga keeps me in shape, it also keeps my mind sharp and calm. Hot yoga has been proven to lessen anxiety and depression and is a great way to clear the mind and improve mental stability. I practice this 26 pose yoga regimen at Pure Yoga Dallas which is located on Mockingbird and Abrams. It’s 105 degrees for 90 minutes, 3 days a week and so good for my soul and my body. The heat is really what sets this yoga practice apart from all the others because you sweat like crazy (you look like you just stepped out of the shower)! It feels absolutely incredible and I am a true believer in hot yoga – if you haven’t tried it I highly recommend.
