A FASHION TREND I SWORE I WOULD NEVER WEAR STYLED 2 WAYS

I did a video a while back titled: 10 FASHION MISTAKES WOMEN MAKE and in that video I stated that wearing leggings was tabu unless you were wearing them to the gym or yoga etc. However, after trying on these insanely comfortable and incredibly slimming faux leather leggings on by Commando I have made an exception!  You most certainly can wear leggings with regular street clothes as long as they’re faux-leather leggings and I have a few reasons why which I’ll list below in further detail. In today’s post I’m sharing 2 faux leather legging outfits, one more dressy perfect for a date night or girl’s night out and the second look is more on the casual side perfect for running errands.  Make sure to scroll down to view both looks and find out why these faux leather leggings are my new favorites!

OUTFIT 1 DETAILS:

I particularly love these under $100 faux leather leggings by Commando for several reasons. First, because of the strategically placed smoothing tummy control panel, they have a slimming effect like no other leggings I’ve ever put on my body.  Second, they’re high-waisted which means they do a great job of making you look taller and thinner which is always a plus. Finally, since they are made of faux leather which is a bit thicker than regular leggings they do a great job of holding everything in and making you look more toned even if you’re not!  Not to mention, these slimming faux-leather leggings are crazy comfortable so they would travel really well.  They run true to size, I’m wearing a small.

CARDIGAN:

This cardigan is part of the NSALE, still in stock, and under $50! It was actually featured in my recent YouTube video titled: 14 PIECE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE CAPSULE WARDROBE. This one comes in 5 colors, including beige, black, grey, olive green, and rust. This will be the perfect piece for fall and winter! It runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

CAMI:

This simple black cami is one I’ll be wearing on repeat under all of my fall sweaters and cardigans. It’s super versatile and I love the chic chiffon material. A simple black cami is a definite wardrobe staple that every woman needs in her closet!  It not only goes perfectly with these faux leather leggings but it will be your go-to layering piece to wear under all of your favorite bomber jackets, denim jackets, and blazers! It runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

HEELS:

I am obsessed with these black heels that are under $100 by Steve Madden! They are unfortunately sold out, but I love these from Shopbop that are super chic and a great price!

OUTFIT 2 DETAILS:

This is a more casual look perfect for running errands! Again, I love the faux leather leggings that are super comfortable, cozy, and extremely slimming! For under $100, these leggings are a must-have for your fall and winter wardrobe.

LEATHER JACKET:

Unfortunately, my jacket from the NSALE is sold out, however, I found this amazing burgundy one at Revolve that’s super similar! Since it’s faux leather it looks so chic paired with faux leather leggings! I’m wearing a size 2 in this jacket.
