3 Designer Pieces Your Wardrobe Needs This Spring

Spring is in the air and that calls for a closet refresh in my opinion! I’m a firm believer in adding key designer pieces at the beginning of each season to ensure your wardrobe will be functional which will also make getting dressed every single day easier for you. Of course, not everything you wear needs to be designer because let’s be honest not everyone has endless bank accounts. However, I do think it is necessary to invest in certain designer pieces in the following categories such as outerwear, shoes, and handbags since those are items you will wear over and over again. Nordstrom is always my go-to destination when it comes to finding the absolute best designer pieces. They always seem to have the biggest selection of the most beautiful and timeless items sure to complete your wardrobe this season!  I’m featuring 3 key designer pieces your wardrobe needs so scroll down to check those out and as always feel free to add anything to your cart along the way.

3 CATEGORIES YOU SHOULD INVEST IN:

1.) OUTERWEAR:

Outerwear elevates any look so it just makes sense to invest in amazing jackets like blazers and moto jackets to add to your wardrobe. Adding a third layer to any look is a sure-fire way to take it to the next level! No matter what season, you will always find me in a chic third layer to spruce up my outfit!

2.) HANDBAGS:

Since a handbag is something you carry every day, it needs to be high-quality and has the ability to take any look up a few notches. My advice? Choose a neutral-colored handbag so it will go with everything to ensure you will get your cost per wear. I truly believe every woman should own at least one handbag that’s high-quality and can be worn with any look.

3.) SHOES:

Shoes are the last category I suggest investing in since an amazing heel can really elevate any look! A stunning pair of designer heels can take an average t-shirt and jeans outfit up about 10 levels proving that wearing an amazing pair of heels will elevate all of your looks. I recommend picking one neutral pair per season to invest in so they will go with all of your looks! For example, these white Bottega Veneta heels I just got from Nordstrom.

LEATHER JACKET (WEARING A 34):

Have you ever seen a prettier pink jacket for spring? This faux leather biker jacket is perfectly oversized and buttery soft. It looks fantastic with jeans, but I also love it styled over a dress as you can see in the last look when you scroll down. If this one is out of your budget, no worries, I love this one just as much and it’s a fraction of the price! This jacket does run big so if you’re between sizes, I would definitely recommend sizing down one size – I’m wearing a 34.

90’s INSPIRED JEANS:

Agolde is hands-down my favorite denim brand and for good reason!  Literally, every silhouette they make is super flattering and reasonably priced when it comes to designer denim.  The jeans I’m wearing in this post are called the 90’s loose-fit pinch waist jean which is all the rage right now as these jeans have been seen on tons of celebs and mega-influencers and I’ll have to say I’m a huge fan! These high-waisted jeans are actually flattering even though they’re a baggier silhouette because of their uber high-waist.  If you’re a denim lover like me then investing in at least a few pairs of really good jeans is always a good idea.  WARNING: These jeans run very big so I suggest sizing down at least one size, I’m wearing a size 24.   FYI: The exact pair I’m wearing is almost sold out but I love these and these which are very similar and would create the same look.

FREE PEOPLE BODYSUIT (WEARING AN XS):

I have seriously worn this bodysuit nonstop since I purchased it because it’s just that good. This piece by Free People is a must-have basic in any woman’s wardrobe since it’s a bodysuit you can wear with anything. I wear it a ton under all of my jackets, and it’s actually comfortable for a bodysuit! It comes in multiple colors (I also have the black color) and runs true to size – I’m wearing an XS.

BOTTEGA VENETA HEELS:

If you’re in the market for some new spring and summer heels, these sandal heels by Bottega Veneta are some of my favorites. Best part? They’re actually comfy because of the low heel height! I love the sexy strappy style, and they look amazing with jeans, skirts and dresses. If these are out of your budget, I love this great dupe too.

I am truly obsessed with this form-fitting dress because it compliments and accentuates my waist and figure. The charcoal gray version of this dress is fully stocked here and comes in several colors. It runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.
