With flares making a MASSIVE come back we thought they were the perfect item to feature in this month’s “Chic at Every Age” post. As you all know, I’m a big fan of flares because they are extremely flattering, they elongate your legs and make you look tall and thin! I am the only one in the post wearing the “high-rise” flare as you can see. The other 3 girls are wearing low-rise flares which I love as well and are equally flattering. It’s just a matter of opinion of which style is best for you. If you feel like your waist is one of the thinnest parts of your body then I would opt for the high-rise style, other wise, the low-rise flare is a great choice!
This fall the fashion magazines and run-ways are showing tons of flares paired with cropped military jackets, shearling vests, and even long cardigans and of course platforms!! I personally love platform heels because they are so much more comfortable than the regular stiletto. They give you just as much height if not more and are a ton more wearable! I especially love these I found at Bloomindales on line. The cognac color is perfect for fall and the price was amazing – only $165.00. I highly recommend investing in at least one pair of flares this fall and one pair of platforms. You will be glad you did!!
