A great staple shirt that you probably already have in your closet is a blue or white button down – if you don’t have either of these you might think about investing in both – they are a wardrobe essential for several reasons.  First, a go to outfit if you are having one of those days where you are thinking “I have nothing to wear” – (we have all been there) – is to pull out your white or blue button down and pair it with you favorite pair of jeans, a cute wedge or heel, and your off.  A great look that is polished and chic in no time!  To add a little interest to your look try tying your shirt at the bottom – very 70’s which is so in.  This is the perfect way to update your look!!   Second, a button down is so versatile and can be paired with so many things, like cut-offs  and lace up sandals for a casual weekend day, tucked into a black pencil skirt and paired with ankle strap heels for a day at the office, and my personal favorite paired with ripped jeans and lace up heels for a fun night out.  The possibilities are endless which is why I love the simple button down so much!!
