10 PIECE WINTER CAPSULE WARDROBE

I’ll have to say, during the wintertime it seems a bit harder to pull off a chic look that keeps you warm while still looking stylish. Although it’s hard it’s certainly not impossible especially if you have a functional winter capsule wardrobe working for you and that’s exactly what I’m here to help you with today.  I’m sharing 10 key pieces that every winter wardrobe needs and they will not only keep you cozy and warm this season but they help you look insanely chic too!  So keep scrolling to check out all 10 pieces in this post, and don’t forget to check out the YouTube video I created to see all of these functional and wearable winter pieces in action.

1.) FAUX LEATHER-PUFFER JACKET:

A faux leather puffer jacket is a huge trend in 2021, and I’ll have to say I’m a big fan! I love this jacket by Apparis – it’s a super fashion-forward jacket that’s black faux leather and so warm for the wintertime. I love wearing it with denim most of all, however, it looks amazing with joggers and leggings as well. If this one is out of your budget, no worries, I love this one just as much and it’s under $100. This jacket runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

2.) BLACK TURTLE NECK:

I’m actually wearing a bodysuit turtleneck in this look which is amazing and on sale making it under $100, but as far as the capsule wardrobe goes, I would opt for this under $100 cashmere turtleneck by Lilysilk. I love a black turtleneck in the winter especially because it can be worn with basically everything and goes with every look! Though I love the black, it comes in many different colors, including a beautiful camel I’m going to have to get for sure! It runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

3.) LIGHTWASH JEANS:

These amazing jeans by Re/done are some of my all-time favorite jeans to date. They are high-waisted and have a relaxed skinny jean style which is a 2021 fashion-forward trend. I definitely believe every woman should own at least one pair of light-wash denim because they’re super versatile and can be worn year round. These jeans are so flattering and are guaranteed to make your legs look so long and slim. These run true to size, I’m wearing a 24.

4.) BLACK BELT:

A black belt is a sure-fire way to dress up and accessorize any look taking it to the next level. I highly recommend investing in a belt because you’ll wear it over and over again with hundreds of different outfits. If this Gucci belt is out of your budget, I love this black and gold belt by All Saints that would be a perfect addition to your winter wardrobe.

5.) BLACK BOOTIES:

These beautiful black booties by Veronica Beard are some that I highly recommend. However, since these are almost sold out, I’m sharing a similar pair by Sam Edelman I love just as much and just so happen to be under $100! If you don’t own black booties or are in the market for some new ones, I highly recommend investing in some because you’ll wear them all the time! I wear mine on repeat because they’re versatile and go with every look I have on.

6.) BLACK HANDBAG:

I truly believe every winter wardrobe should have a simple and chic black handbag. Though I believe the handbag should be high-quality, it definitely does not have to be designer! This Rebecca Minkoff handbag is super affordable yet still high-quality and will go with basically anything you are wearing. It’s guaranteed to make you look more sophisticated and edgy!

7.) CAMEL SHIRT JACKET (ON SALE MAKING IT UNDER $50):

A shirt jacket is another huge trend in 2021 that I don’t think will be going anywhere any time soon. A shirt jacket is definitely a classic piece you can wear multiple ways making it a must-have in a winter capsule wardrobe. I love this shirt jacket because of the gorgeous deep camel shade and it’s under $50 which is an amazing deal. It’s also super warm and elevates any look you have on. It runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

8.) BLACK V-NECK CASHMERE SWEATER (ON SALE MAKING IT UNDER $50):

This super soft black cashmere sweater by Halogen is hands down my most worn sweater in the winter for so many reasons! It’s not too bulky making it perfect for layering comfortably underneath jackets and coats. Best part? It’s currently on major sale making it under $50 which is an incredible price for a REAL cashmere sweater. It runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

9.) BLACK JEANS:

Though I’m not wearing these exact jeans in this post, you can refer to my video to check this pair out. These black jeans are by Re/done and are the exact same silhouette as the light wash ones I’m wearing in this post. Since they are a relaxed straight-leg silhouette, they can easily be tucked into tall boots, but also can be cropped when wearing booties! I find myself reaching for faded black denim most out of any other color in my closet! Not to mention they’re super flattering thanks to their high-waist fit. They run true to size, I’m wearing a size 24.

10.) CAMEL FAUX FUR COAT:

In my WINTER CAPSULE WARDROBE YouTube video, I featured this gorgeous faux fur coat by Rachel Zoe that’s super chic and soft. I think it is just an amazing statement-making coat that you can honestly put on with any look to take it up a notch! Not to mention, the neutral camel color that’s so versatile. It runs true to size, I’m wearing a size 2.
