WARDROBE STAPLE – THE BLACK BLAZER

Another ‘Streed Edit’ is here with my good friend and fellow Dallas Fashion Blogger, Tiffany Davros, of Street Style Squad.   We chose to feature ‘THE BLACK BLAZER’ because everyone should have one they love in their closet!

A definite wardrobe staple, the black blazer, if you don’t have one you love then trust me, you need one and here’s why.  First, they’re super versatile, you can easily dress a black blazer down by pairing it with a pair of ripped jeans, a simple white tee, and some chic sneakers – the perfect weekend chic look!  You can dress it up by pairing it with a silk white blouse, a gray pencil skirt, and some snakeskin heels for the perfect office look which can easily take you out to drinks afterwards.

The black blazer I’m wearing is by Veronica Beard, one of my favorite designers, you can insert dickeys into it which makes it super versatile.  A dickey is an insert that zips into the jacket making it appear like you’re wearing 2 jackets, so cool and chic!  You can view one of the dickeys here that I love!  The fit of this blazer is impeccable, (I’m wearing a size 0), it’s wrinkle free and I love the zipper detailing on the pockets.  I’ll be wearing this blazer for many seasons to come, this is an investment piece that will never go out of style!  I’ve also linked another blazer HERE and below I found that’s similar to this one, but a fraction of the price.

Our bodysuits Tiffany and I are both wearing in different colors are by Blue Life, an ultra cool brand carried by Revolve and Planet Blue.   I love the burgundy color of mine, the perfect pop of red my all black ensemble needed.  By the way, bodysuits are still really hot and will be in this spring as well!  They do a great job of holding you in and I love the super sexy plunging neckline, the straps are adjustable by the way so you can make it as plunging as you want!   It’s almost sold out so I linked a few other burgundy bodysuits for you all, happy shopping!

Our fun coffee shop shot was taken at the new Forty Five Ten boutique in downtown Dallas, it’s the most beautiful store I’ve ever stepped foot in, a definite must-see!
