Blogger Trip to The Grove

Happy Wednesday!  I took an amazing road trip to The Grove in Tyler, Texas with some of my dear blogger friends:

It was a rainy Monday morning, I got up early to get my hot yoga out of the way so I was feeling pretty good despite the torrential down pour outside.  We had a super fun and exciting blogger road trip planned to The Grove, located in Tyler, TX and we were NOT going to let the rain get in the way of our fun day!  We all met at the Starbucks in HP Village and loaded up on coffee drinks, tall Oprah Chai for me,  and we were off, approximately a 2 hour drive to this AMAZING AND FABULOUS new restaurant called The Grove.  It really doesn’t do it justice calling it just a restaurant, it’s way more than that!  It has a gorgeous bar that reminds me of a bar you might see in New York City  surrounded by beautiful seating areas that I wish were in my own house!  The patio is none like I have ever seen before, surrounded by luscious foliage and gorgeous tress along with a stage where live bands play and even family movie nights on their large movie screen.  There is an enormous indoor/outdoor event space called The Greenhouse, perfect for hosting events OF all types and sizes.

Now, let’s get to the best part, the food, wow!!!  It was amazing to say the least, all farm to table, so fresh and delicious!  We had the honor of dining with the chef who is from New Zealand and the owner of the restaurant.  We basically got tons of dishes and sampled all of them.  My personal favorites were the fresh peach and goat cheese salad, the crab claws, homemade smoked sausage (made in house) and the winner of it all, the homemade blueberry cobbler.  Of course the dessert item was my absolute favorite because I have the biggest sweet tooth ever!  They also had a large selection of fun cocktails, the next time I go I want to come at night, see the band and drink some vino!  This would be a perfect little get away with your significant other or a fun day trip with your girl friends!  They are working on plans to build an amazing little bed and breakfast with a full service spa.  I know exactly where I’m going for my anniversary next year when that gets finished!  The Grove is hands down one of my absolute favorite restaurants, the delicious food, amazing decor, gorgeous location, and the friendly staff all make The Grove one of the BEST places to dine!
