In honor of Mother’s day I wanted to share a few things about my wonderful Mom and what it means to me to be a Mom.
My mother is such a happy, positive person and she’s always taught me by example to look on the bright side no matter what. She’s always been by my side through all of the tough times in my life, my divorce and loosing my Dad were probably the 2 hardest things I’ve ever had to endure. I couldn’t have gotten through either of those difficult times without the love and support from my dear Mom. Thank you, Mom, for your sound and wise advice and always listening to me when I needed someone to talk to. I love you very much and I’m so grateful God chose you to be my Mom!
Being a Mom is no doubt the most important job I’ll ever have to do and I have no doubt it’s why God put me on this earth. First, I want to thank my sweet Mom for teaching me how to be a good Mom. I have 5 beautiful children, 2 of my own and 3 bonus children by marriage. Being a good Mom to me means loving your kids no matter what they do, being there for them through the thick and the thin, supporting and encouraging them and always building them up and making them believe in themselves! I have 2 pieces of advice for my kids that I hope they’ll always remember. The first piece of advice is this: Through hard work and self discipline you can and will accomplish anything you set your mind to. My second piece of advice is this: Stay close to God even in the good times and especially in the bad times and He will always take care of you.
My gorgeous ‘SWEETIE‘ silver charm bracelet is such a meaningful piece to me. I love that it’s silver and gold so it will match all of my jewelry, I always love mixing metals! I chose the cross charm which symbolizes my love for God and it’s because of Him I have such an amazing Mom and that I get to be a Mom. I chose the letter “H” because it’s the first letter of my Mom’s name which is Hilary and it’s the first letter of my name. I’ll be wearing this beautiful ‘Sweetie’ silver charm bracelet all year round and it will always remind me of what is means to be a Mom and of how grateful I am for my Mom!
