My husband was on a business trip last week in Jackson Hole and decided to fly me up at the last minute – what a treat! I was so excited to see the snow and excited to wear some of my cold weather attire! It’s hard to look stylish, yet stay warm so here are a few tips to make sure you stay looking chic when you are all bundled up!
1.) Layer, layer, and more layering – This will keep you warm yet keep you looking polished and put together. I had on 3 shirts underneath this jacket – a black fitted long sleeve tee, a black turtle neck, and finally a chunky black sweater. All of the shirts were fitted except the sweater which allowed my coat to fit over all of my layers.
2.) Wear fitted bottoms – This will balance out your heavy layers on top and keep you looking slim, it will also elongate your legs and who doesn’t want that?! If it is really cold you can always put a pair of long johns under your jeans or leggings.
3.) Choose chic cold weather accessories – I always love to top any winter look off with a chunky scarf – (Love Quotes is my favorite brand of scarves)- the bigger the better, just wrap it around your neck 2-3 times to create an effortless and chic look. Another one of my favorite cold weather accessories are my leather fingerless gloves that I purchased at Intermix (they are currently on sale). I even wear them in Dallas when it’s cold with a leather jacket and jeans.
I hope all of you have a wonderful week! Thanks so much for reading and shopping on my blog! XOXO!!
