Neiman Marcus Spring Fashion Show 2015

Spring is approaching and I’m so excited about all of the new colors and trends that are happening this season!  I was so thrilled to be invited to the Neiman Marcus Spring Fashion Show hosted by Tanya Foster of Film, Fashion,Fun – she is a dear friend of mine and a fellow fashion and lifestyle blogger.  The fashion show was held in the Glass Room inside of Neimans downtown and it is absolutely stunning, a must see for sure!

 TOP SPRING TRENDS: 

1.)  FRINGE:   A huge trend and definitely one of my favorites!  It’s on everything from shoes, to handbags, to tops and jackets – so bohemian chic and so perfect!  The Stuart Weitzman nude fringe heels on the model above wearing the skinny jeans are a must have for sure!  I just might have to purchase those myself.

2.) THE FLARE JEAN: Yes, it’s coming back hard and I’ll have to say I’m a big fan of the flare jean and here’s why:  they are the most universally flattering jean on the market.  No matter what your size or shape, the flare jean is sure to elongate your legs and make you look slimmer.  The key is to pair it with a heel or wedge. I will say they were showing the flare jean with low wedges and flats as well which is fine, however, if you really want to look taller and thinner opt for a wedge or heel.  I can’t wait to wear my flare jeans this spring!!

3.)  SPICE MARKET COLORS:  The gorgeous flowers photographed above were the center pieces for the tables at the fashion show – these stunning arrangements represent the perfect shades of the spice market colors that are HUGE this spring.  Beautiful oranges in all shades, from bright hues to rust, this color is sure to make you stand out this spring.  I love this Joie top – it’s the perfect shade of orange and will look fabulous paired with flare jeans and turquoise jewelry!

4.)  BOLD TURQUOISE JEWELRY:  Yes, it’s back and it’s back big, bold and chunky!  Turquoise looks so fabulous paired with the spice market colors because it really stands out and makes a statement!  Hopefully, you saved some of your old turquoise jewelry from when it was in style, so pull it out and pile it on this spring!  If you didn’t, no worries, Cusp has several stunning pieces at very affordable prices, like this bracelet and necklace.

5.)  All WHITE:  I adore wearing all white, it really stands out in a sea of all black which is what most people seem to wear.  Don’t get me wrong, I love an all black look as well, but in the spring and summer nothing says chic, clean, and fresh like an all white ensemble.  I love the all white look they did above in the fashion show.  A white moto jacket is for sure a wardrobe staple!  I love this off white moto jacket and this one for less.  Throw it over a white maxi dress, wear with white flare jeans and a neutral fringe heel for less here, or even with a pencil skirt and silk tank.  The possibilities are endless, which is why the white moto jacket is a wardrobe staple!!

6.)  BOLD LIP: With each new season it’s important we think not just about our wardrobe, but about our make-up as well.  It’s just as important as what we are wearing on our bodies, trust me!  They were showing minimal make up on the eyes paired with a bold lip. My all time favorite lip color for spring and summer is Tom Ford’s lip stick in True Coral!  It’s the best hands down, his lipsticks stay put and the pigment is amazing!  They last a long time as well!  I also love Coachella Coral by Charlotte Tilbury which is what I have on in this post.  It’s not quite as orange as Tom Ford’s True Coral, it’s more of a pinky coral – so pretty for spring!

7.)  LONG PATIO DRESSES:  Easy to wear and so chic and effortless, the patio dress can be worn to so many places.  A summer wedding, a dinner party, a girl’s night out, or a date night.  The possibilities are endless which why I love long, flowy, dresses so much!  This gorgeous bold orange one is my top pick – this would look stunning with some chunky turquoise jewelry like this amazing necklace by Nest and the fringe heels that I’m so in love with.  This look would represent so many of this season’s trends – a look that will take you many places in style!
