How to Make a Crop Top Look Age Appropriate

Over the last few months of wearing flare jeans a ton, because I utterly LOVE them…I have been trying out different tops with these favorite jeans of mine and I’ve come to the conclusion that my favorite tops to wear with this type of jean is a simple button down tucked in OR a slightly cropped chic top like the one I’m wearing in this post.  The reason is because both of these tops show off your waist line and that’s exactly what high rise denim is made to do.  The key to wearing a crop top at an older age (over 25) I would say, is to make sure you’re NOT SHOWING OFF TOO MUCH SKIN.  When pairing a crop top with a high rise jean this makes the gap between the bottom of the shirt and top of the jean very slim, only showing a sliver of skin which is chic, effortless, and sophisticated – 3 things I opt for when putting looks together.

Also, these are the only pair of MIH jeans I’ve ever owned and I’ll have to admit that I am a HUGE FAN!!  They are the most flattering jeans in my closet!  They cling to my body in all the right places and they don’t stretch out one bit!!  These won’t be the last MIH jeans I buy this season – and the style I’m wearing is so 70’s which makes me love them even more!!
