SHARING 5 KEY INVESTMENT PIECES EVERY WOMEN SHOULD OWN WITH NORDSTROM

Happy Monday gorgeous ladies!  I’m excited to be teaming up with Nordstrom again featuring some key wardrobe investment pieces that I think every wardrobe needs in order to be functional.  What do I mean by having a functional wardrobe you might ask?  Well, what I mean is that in order for getting dressed every day easier for you then your wardrobe must consist of several high-quality basics instead of a bunch of trend pieces you may only wear once.  The 5 investment pieces below are from Nordstrom’s designer department which is my go-to destination when I’m looking for these high-quality basics that make up a functional wardrobe.  You certainly don’t need to have all designer pieces in your wardrobe, but the 5 I’ve listed below are key pieces that are guaranteed to make getting dressed easier for you every single day!  You’re welcome!

5 KEY WARDROBE INVESTMENT PIECES:

1.) Quality Blazer:

A blazer is a wardrobe staple that is key player in tons of looks both dressy and casual.  If you have a good high-quality blazer you can literally wear it with multiple looks over and over again making it well worth the investment.  I wear several key blazers in my closet at least 2-3 times a week.  I wear them to business meetings with leather pants or dark denim and I wear them super casual on the weekends with jeans, a simple white tee, and sneakers proving the versatility of a well-made blazer.

The exact blazer I’m wearing is by Isabel Marant which is one of my favorite French designers and I’m so happy that Nordstrom carries her beautiful line!  This chic blazer is perfectly over-sized and I love the neutral and subtle gray plaid print.  I love to wear this particular blazer with the sleeves rolled and pushed up and paired with leather pants or some really cool jeans!  The possibilities are endless proving the wearability of this versatile and timeless blazer!  It runs true to size, I’m wearing a size XS.

2.) White tee:

A good, high-quality basic white tee is key to any functional wardrobe.  I wear white tees all the time under blazers, leather jackets, denim jackets, and even by themselves in the summertime.  I think there is nothing chicer than a simple white tee and denim look!  Therefore, having a high-quality white is essential and the one I’m wearing is perfect!  It’s by Layfayette 148 New York which is a gorgeous line of clothing that Nordstrom carries.  All of their pieces are very sophisticated, polished, and timeless.  This fabulous white tee isn’t see-through like many white tees are and the material is super soft so it feels really good on.  This is a white tee you won’t have to replace every season which is why it’s okay to spend a little more on it in the beginning.  Trust me, this white tee will end being your go-to layering piece since it’s so perfect to wear under any style jacket!  It runs true to size, I’m wearing a size XS.

3.) Black Leather Pants:

Black leather pants can be worn a variety of ways from extremely dressy to holiday parties, edgy on a date night or girl’s night out, and even super casual with a denim jacket and sneakers which is why I think every woman needs a flattering pair of leather pants!  Leather pants will not be going out of style anytime soon so I highly suggest investing in a really good pair!  These leather pants are made of buttery soft real lambskin leather so they’re actually very comfortable and feel really good on!  They run true to size, I’m wearing a size 25.

4.) Nude Pumps:

Nude suede pumps not only chic and sophisticated, but they are guaranteed to make your legs look longer and slimmer, need I say more?!  I’ve had these gorgeous suede pumps by Jimmy Choo for about 4 months now and I’ve already worn them a ton with jeans, dresses, and even leather pants as you can see in today’s post.  These suede pumps are very comfortable for a pump, I can wear them most of the day without my feet ever hurting.  I think it’s because the heel height is a very wearable 4 inches.  These timeless suede pumps are sure to take all of your looks to the next level and will even make you look taller and slimmer while doing it!

5.) Neutral Handbag:

I’ve talked about this on my YouTube channel and my blog before but a high-quality neutral handbag is definitely something you should invest in and here’s why.  First, a handbag is something you carry almost every day with all of your looks so it’s needs to high quality for simple wear and tear purposes.  I say neutral because it needs to match all of your looks so that you can carry it every day and not have to worry about if it matches all of your ensembles.  If it’s a good neutral color like tan, metallic, or black then you can bet it will go with all of your looks which means you will carry it a ton making it well worth the investment when you consider the cost per wear.

I’ve only had this chic YSL handbag for about 6 months and I know I ‘ve carried it over 40 times because it literally matches everything because of its neutral shade.  The size is perfect for day or night and I love the gunmetal chain which gives it more of an edgy vibe which matches my personal style perfectly.  My exact YSL handbag isn’t available so below I’ve linked several of my favorite Saint Laurent handbags all in gorgeous neutral shades so that they will go with everything!  If you’ve been on the fence about investing in a designer handbag, I highly recommend it, they are sure to take all of your looks to the next level of chic!
