Hello beautiful ladies and happy Monday!! I am obsessed with this year’s winter pastel trend because there are so many pretty shades to brighten a neutral winter wardrobe. Wearing pastel colors in the chilly months of winter is a great way to change up your look a bit because we all tend to stick to black and grey tones, including me! I understand that wearing pastels in the winter can be different and out of your comfort zone, but I definitely recommend giving it a go! If you’re wondering how to wear pastels in the winter, you’re in luck because today I’m sharing 4 style tips for wearing these pretty colors this season! 4 TIPS WHEN WEARING PASTELS IN WINTER:
1.) CHOOSE A COZY JACKET:
My amazing light pink faux fur jacket is extremely warm and cozy! This has been one of my favorite colors to wear this winter because it pops! This chic jacket by Nordstrom is by Rachel Parcell – a mega influencer who I’m happy to support. Faux fur jackets are perfect for cold weather outings because they keep you warm while still looking super stylish. This jacket is perfectly oversized, so it can easily be worn on top of a sweater if it’s super cold outside. The faux fur jacket runs true to size, and I’m wearing a size XS.
2.) PAIR WITH YOUR FAVORITE PAIR OF LIGHT WASH DENIM:
Light wash denim looks especially good with pastels versus dark wash denim because it gives a more stream-lined look. I am obsessed with these jeans because they’re high-waisted with an ankle length, making anyone look taller and slimmer. I featured these exact jeans in my latest YouTube video titled: TOP DENIM PICKS OF 2019.
3.) INCORPORATE LIGHT COLORED ACCESSORIES (LIKE MY SUNGLASSES AND HANDBAG):
My new pink aviators by Celine are my new favorite accessory that will incorporate well into spring and summer because of the light pink shade. These on-trend sunglasses will pair beautifully with all pastel colors, specially blue – the pantone color of the year that I featured in my recent YouTube video titled: TOP FASHION TRENDS OF 2020. If these glasses are out of your budget, no worries! I found these under $100 sunglasses at Nordstrom that look super similar but are much less expensive and budget friendly.
Adding a white, silver, or beige handbag to your spring and summer handbag collection is a definite must because these colors are so versatile and pair very well with pastels. Rebecca Minkoff is my favorite go-to handbag designer who is actually affordable! Also, I found this white Chanel boy bag ON SALE on The REAL REAL. This is such a high-quality and long-lasting handbag you’ll have forever! I absolutely love mine. 4.) WEAR NEUTRAL HEELS:
Neutral heels go well with pastels because they are also a light shade, therefore, they blend well with the color palette. I really love these silver heels by Malone Souliers which are available on Shopbop. These shoes are extremely comfortable to wear since they’re a mule style with no back.
