HOW TO STYLE A SEQUIN JACKET FOR DAYTIME:
I attended a fashion show a while back at Neiman Marcus and Ken Downing who I absolutely ADORE was the MC and he couldn’t talk enough about how much he LOVED sequins! He said we can and SHOULD wear sequins during the day, in fact, he said to get rid of the yoga pants that we usually wear to Starbucks and put on the sequins! I couldn’t agree more since my style is chic and edgy I knew exactly how I was going to style this fabulous sequin jacket for daytime.
Our exact sequin jacket sold out, unfortunately (a blogger’s worst nightmare, lol), so I linked several other sequin jackets that I adore at all price points, happy shopping!
First, I decided to pair my sequin jacket with my favorite pair of girlfriend jeans by AOLA. These are perfectly distressed bringing on the perfect casual and laid back vibe to my look. They’re super high-waisted which means they will make your legs look longer which is always a plus! They have a straight leg and are a bit baggier than your typical skinny jean but not as baggy as boyfriend jeans which is why we call them girlfriend jeans. They run true to size, I’m wearing a size 25.

Second, I added a casual vibe to my sequin jacket by layering it over a simple tee as opposed to a velvet cami for example which would have dressed it up instead of down. My easy tee is super soft and ONLY $32 making it a definite must-have!
Now some would argue that my heels aren’t for daytime and I get that! Heels aren’t for everyone so if this is the boat you’re in I suggest dressing down this sequin jacket with a chic pair of sneakers! I love these Golden Goose sneakers and I also love these from NEIMAN MARCUS which are a fraction of price and uber chic!
Cathy and Natalie’s looks are also daytime appropriate and can be worn a ton of places! Sam’s look is probably the dressiest of all of ours and I’ll have to say I LOVE IT! I mean really, what’s chicer than a midi dress and booties!?

According to the amazingly cool Ken Downing wear your sequins during the day to Starbucks, to run errands, on a lunch date with your honey or girlfriends and of course, it’s always a good idea to wear sequins shopping!
