A BLOG POST + A YOUTUBE VIDEO FEATURING 8 WAYS TO DRESS TASTEFULLY SEXY

Happy Friday ladies!  I’m so happy this crazy week is over, anyone else?  This means the weekend is finally here and I bet you have a date night or fun girl’s night out planned, am I right?  If not, I’m hoping this post will encourage you to set one up!  With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, there couldn’t have been a better time to share this post and video.  I get a ton of questions from my readers and subscribers on YouTube on how to dress sexy at any age without looking like your trying too hard or looking like your dressing too young for your age because in my opinion there’s nothing worse!  There is a tasteful way to dress sexy and I’m here to break it down for you so that it will be easy for you the next time you go to get ready for that hot date or fabulous GNO!  Scroll down to view all 8 style tips sure to elevate all of your looks in 2020!

HOW TO DRESS SEXY AT ANY AGE:

1.) WEAR A SHEER TOP:

Wearing a sheer top will not only make you look tastefully sexy, but sheer tops are also having a huge moment in 2020!  A tasteful way to wear a sheer top is to top it with a chic jacket of some sort OR wear a simple camisole underneath.  Check out my YouTube video above to view a gorgeous winter white look I featured showcasing how to wear a sheer top.

2.) WEAR CLOTHES THAT ARE FORM FITTING:

I can’t emphasize this enough, but wearing clothes that are either too big or too small will just make you look bigger than you really are and who wants that?  Find out what your best feature is and showcase that in the clothes that you wear!  If you have a small waist then wear high-rise denim or dresses that accentuate your waistline.  If you love your legs then wear more mini dresses or skirts which are also trending really hard in 2020 by the way!  Utilizing a good tailor is a great way to ensure your clothes fit you the way they should!  Wearing clothes that flatter your best features will allow you to be the best version of yourself!

3.) SHOW A POP OF LACE:

Wearing lingerie as clothing is another hot trend in 2020 so showing a bit of lace will not only make you look tastefully sexy but it’s very on-trend!  My favorite way to do this is by letting a lace bralette peep through a chic cardigan as I showcased in this blog post titled: MONDAY MUST-HAVE: AN UNDER $100 CARDIGAN.  You can also wear a simple lace camisole under one of your favorite jackets for another tasteful way to show some lace.

4.) SHOW SOME SHOULDER:

No matter what your size, shoulders are typically a sexy body part we can show and still look very tasteful while doing it!  There are tons of gorgeous tops and sweaters out there showing one shoulder or both shoulders that are super chic and perfect for date night or GNO!

5.) WEAR A CHOKER OR COLLAR NECKLACE:

I probably wear a choker or collar necklace like 5 days a week because I just feel it adds that perfect edgy vibe and completes my looks perfectly!  If you don’t love your neck then wearing a collar necklace instead of a choker necklace will do the trick as well.  For those of you who don’t know what a collar necklace is it’s a necklace that lays right across you collar bones instead of around your neck where a choker typically hits.

6.) WEAR HEELS:

It’s no secret that wearing heels will always elevate your look but it will no doubt make you look sexier too!  I wear heels 95% of the time because I just feel more myself and more importantly, I feel more confident when I wear heels, anyone else feel this way?!  They don’t have to be 5-inch stilettos either, a simple 3-inch heel is better and more tastefully sexy than any pair of flats, trust me!

7.) WEAR A V-NECK TOP:

Wearing a v-neck top is not only tastefully sexy since you are showing a bit of skin up top, but it also makes you look taller and slimmer too which is always a plus!  I almost always wear v-necks of some sort for this very reason and also it allows you to show off your favorite necklaces of the moment!

8.) WEAR A FAUX FUR JACKET:

There’s nothing more glamorous or tastefully sexy than wearing a faux fur jacket and if I’m being honest I probably own way too many, lol!  I love wearing them especially in the fall and winter because they do a great job of keeping you warm, however, they still look super chic and edgy!  In fact, if you were to run into me on a date night or GNO I would be wearing a faux fur jacket, heels and jeans no doubt!  The outfit I’m wearing in this post is my go-to date night look and one that is definitely tastefully sexy!

OUTFIT DETAILS: 

The faux fur jacket I’m wearing is from Topshop so the price point is amazing!  Would you believe me if I told you this luxe-looking faux fur jacket is only $140?  Trust me, it looks way more expensive than it really is in person.  I highly recommend adding at least one faux fur jacket to your winter jacket collection this season and this one is such a good option!

My seriously slimming jeans are by Agolde of course, I swear I think the last 5 pairs of jeans I purchased are by Agolde because I love them that much!  These are 100% cotton so they don’t have much stretch to them which means they do a great job of holding their shape, always a plus.  They’re a straight leg with a highrise and an ankle-length which is the perfect formula for looking taller and slimmer, always a plus!  This light wash will transition really well into spring too although they can certainly be worn all year round.  If you’re between sizes, I recommend sizing up one size since they’re more on the rigid side without much stretch.  I’m wearing a size 25.

These heels are not only incredibly chic but they’re a classic staple that every woman should own!  If you don’t already own a pair of classic black pumps I highly recommend adding a pair to your shoe collection.  They look amazing with jeans, dresses, and skirts proving their versatility.  The pointy toe on these heels will make you look taller and slimmer – another great style tip from this YouTube video titled: 10 STYLE TIPS TO MAKE YOU LOOK SLIMMER
