The first look on my list of holiday outfits for women over 40 features this gorgeous green velvet blazer from Alice & Olivia. It’s the matching top to the blazer mentioned above, and while these two items look simply made for each other, this top could also look great with a white blazer or black leather jacket. The smooth satin material feels so nice on my skin and the supportive underwire cups give this top a fantastic structure. I’m wearing a size 0 for reference.

Split-hem pants are having a major moment right now and these ones from Revolve are seriously so chic! I love the combination of the split hem and high waist because it is incredibly slimming. These pants are also wrinkle-free which you all know is a big deal in my world! I’m wearing an XS in these slimming and flattering pants.

The bag I’m wearing in the photo above is the designer dupe from Express for this one by Alexander Wang but it’s unfortunately sold out. Luckily I was able to find the bag I’ve linked here that is very similar and still a great price! Rhinestones are perfect for the holiday season so whatever option you choose, you’ll shine bright like a diamond!

Velvet is one of the quintessential textures of the holiday season so I just had to style a look featuring this velvet strapless top from Express. It comes in 5 different shades to please any color preference and the sweetheart neckline is very flattering. With a price tag under $100, this top is a very affordable component of this holiday outfit for women over 40.

This vegan leather blazer by Alice & Olivia is by far my most worn blazer this season. I’ve worn it SO many times, and it still looks like new, so I can personally attest to the quality of this jacket! How luxurious is this velvet blazer by Veronica Beard?! The brand’s iconic silhouette comes through in a plush velvet jacket that’s perfect for any holiday party. I especially love the touch of silver on the buttons that really elevates this blazer to the next level. I’m wearing a size 0 in this holiday party must-have.

As always, I try to find a steal version of any splurge item I truly love, and this velvet blazer from Evereve is a fantastic dupe! Besides a slightly more relaxed fit, they are almost identical, and whichever option you choose I know you’ll feel chic and confident. I almost forgot to mention this version is priced under $100!

Next we have a luxurious pair of REAL leather pants from Lamarque. These are an investment piece, no doubt about that, but a pair of real leather pants will almost always stand the test of time. They can be worn to so many different places in so many different ways and at the end of day, if you care for them properly, they will still look as good as the day you bought them.

I am completely obsessed with this ultra-glam white feather jacket! I honestly think it’s the perfect topper for any fancy holiday outfit look, especially over the amazing set I’m wearing from Revolve. I’m wearing an XS in this holiday must-have.

Sparkle and shine is name of the game when it comes to holiday outfits for women over 40 and this matching faux leather set definitely fits the bill! The iridescent finish will reflect any light in the room, making your outfit truly shine and the zipper closure ensures a perfect fit. I’m wearing an XS and I find it fits true to size.

The matching pants to this set are made of the same material and are equally as fabulous. The high waist is very flattering and also pairs perfectly with the crop design of the top. I’m wearing an XS in the pants as well.

I’ve saved the best for last because these faux leather flares are by far my favorite pants in this entire edit! They are super slimming due to the high waist and baby flare style. I’m wearing a size 24 in these literal party pants.
