Happy Holidays gorgeous ladies! Whether you have some fun and festive holiday parties on your calendar this year or maybe you’re just planning some fun girl’s nights out or date nights this post is for you! Cathy of The Middle Page and I always love getting dressed up for holiday parties but even if we don’t have a specific event to go to we love dressing holidayish this time of year. It just puts us in the right mood and lifts our spirits!
I always say wear clothes that make you feel like the best version of yourself and what is better than wearing sequins, metallics, velvet, and faux fur to boost your mood this holiday season so you can radiate that holiday cheer!? UNDER $100 RED VELVET BLAZER:
The first 2 outfits on my list of holiday looks for women over 40 start with this stunning red velvet blazer by Steve Madden. We both LOVE the crushed velvet and agree the red color makes it perfect for the holiday season. It has a great price point under $100 as well, so it looks fabulous, and it won’t break the bank either! We both wear an XS and find it fits true to size.
STEVE MADDEN VELVET PANTS:
Cathy styled her blazer with the matching pants and I have to say, I love this look! There’s something about a matching set that makes you instantly look put together. As far as I’m concerned, the more of this gorgeous red velvet, the better! Cathy is wearing an XS and they fit true to size.
VERONICA BEARD FAUX LEATHER FLARES:
I styled this chic blazer with a pair of my favorite faux leather pants from Veronica Beard and I love the leather & velvet combination. An all-black look with a pop of red is such a great holiday color combo, but it also looks great any time of the year! I wear a size 24 in these slimming high-waisted pants.

GOLD SEQUIN JACKET (UNDER $100):
The next look in my collection of holiday looks for women over 40 features this GORGEOUS gold sequin jacket from Express. Life is always better with a little sparkle and this stunning jacket is 50% off making it well under $100. I dressed it up with black coated jeans and a statement bodysuit but it can easily be dressed down with a pair of blue jeans and a white tank. I wear an XS in this holiday attire must-have.
FAUX LEATHER PANTS (UNDER $100):
As I mentioned above I chose a pair of black-coated skyscraper jeans from Express to style with this beautiful jacket. I love the front hem split because it’s designed to show off your fave pair of heels and it also makes your legs look miles long. This is one of my most-worn styles of denim, and that’s because they are so incredibly flattering. I wear a size 0 reg in them and they fit true to size.

BROWN SEQUIN BLAZER (UNDER $100):
This next look features a sequin-encrusted matching set from Express, giving you the best of both worlds! The set comes in gold & silver as well but this bronze/brown shade is by far my favorite. It’s 50% off making it under $100 right now which is a great value for this holiday-ready blazer! I wear an XS and it fits true to size.
BROWN SEQUIN PANTS UNDER ($100):
The matching pants are just as fabulous as the blazer and they’re also super comfortable. The wide-leg style is having a huge moment in 2023 and is expected to continue into 2024. I’m wearing a size 0 in this matching holiday set that is sure to turn some heads!

Last but not least on my list of 5 holiday looks for women over 40 is this stunning green sweater dress by. I love the knit fabric because it’s insanely flattering and it makes this dress look far more expensive than it really is. The deep green shade is perfect for the holiday season and beyond and it pairs perfectly with heels or a chic pair of boots. I wear an XS and it fits true to size.
FAUX SHEARLING TRIMMED VEST:
I paired the dress above with this edgy faux fur trimmed vest from BLANKNYC. The faux leather is buttery smooth and honestly feels and looks like the real thing! The faux leather combined with the faux fur trim is very hot right now, whether it’s a vest or a stylish jacket. I’m wearing an XS in the hottest style of jacket this winter!
