THE PERFECT BUTTON DOWN

When I can’t think of what to wear which does happen to me on occasion, I always reach for a simple button down and my favorite pair of jeans.  My absolute favorite casual shirt is my Frank & Eileen button down and here’s why:  First, the fit is impeccable, it’s super flattering because of the way it’s cut making your waist line look thin.  I like my button-downs to be a tad bit on the bigger side so I got a size small instead of an extra small and the fit is perfect.  Second, the top button is strategically placed so that the top of the shirt lays open just right, it looks sexy and effortless which is always a plus.  Third, the material is amazing, it doesn’t wrinkle and it feels really good on.  I own like 5 of these shirts in all colors, but I think 3 of them are different shades of blue – I love a good blue shirt because you can wear it during all seasons.  In the spring and summer pair your blue button-down with white denim or light denim and some nude wedges or heels and in the fall and winter months pair it with black leather pants or jeans and a killer pair of heels for the perfect edgy ensemble – you could even throw a black leather jacket over this look!  The best thing about these Frank & Eileen button downs is that I found 2 very similar to the one I’m wearing and they are both ON SALE – YAY!!  Trust me, once you add your first Frank & Eileen shirt to your wardrobe you’ll want to add one in every color!!

I also want to mention my black Citizens of Humanity high-rise jeans, these are one of my top 3 jeans hanging in my closet and I know this because I wear them a ton and all year round.  High-rise is huge the season and one of my personal favorite styles because they really make your legs appear longer which is always a good thing!  You can see another post I did in these exact jeans by clicking here.  Nordstrom just recently restocked these exact jeans in all sizes. They run true to size (I’m wearing a size 25) and they don’t stretch out one bit – a definite must-have!
