It’s that time again, our CHIC AT EVERY AGE series featuring HOLIDAY DRESSES:

With New Year’s Eve approaching fast we thought it would be the perfect time to feature some really AMAZING black formal dresses from WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET.  I love to get all dressed up and go to a fun New Year’s Eve party and bring in the new year with good friends and lots of red wine (lol!)  You can NEVER GO WRONG with black, EVER!  I heard this quote a while back and I totally agree….”The first lesson in fashion is wearing all black”.  The easiest and most sure fire way to look elegant, sophisticated, and uber chic is to wear black, not to mention it’s super slimming so when in doubt remember this:  black is ALWAYS a good choice.

I adore my long beautiful gown, I especially love the slit up the side of the leg, it adds a bit of sexiness to this dress which is always a plus in my opinion.  The cut-out shoulders and beaded choker neckline add even more edginess and sexiness to this AMAZINGLY chic black gown.  I’m wearing a size 2 and it’s a tad bit big around the waist and my rib cage, I should have ordered a zero, so I would say this dress runs a tad bit big so order one size down.  There is only one size left in this dress, so I linked a similar cold shoulder black dress which is just as amazing!

I paired my dress with some really fabulous purple velvet platform heels which are no longer available, but don’t worry, I found some THESE from Nordstrom that I love just as much!  I chose to go with a metallic silver clutch which adds a bit of sparkle to my look,  a silver clutch is a definite must-have, it literally goes with everything and brings any look to the next level.

I also want to mention my Tom Ford lipstick, it’s actually a new formula he just came out with called “Lip Foil”, it’s so AMAZING!  The colors are rich and moisturizing with a stunning 3 dimensional finish, they come in a wide array of gorgeous colors, the color I’m wearing in this post is called “Sea Dragon”.

My favorite cocktail ring EVER, I literally wear it every single time I get dressed up, is my Kendra Scott double finger ring. I highly recommend adding this beauty to your collection of accessories, trust me, you’ll want to wear it every time you get dressed up too!
