I swear every time I go shopping with Cathy of The Middle Page we always say “we need tops” and it seems like we always struggle to find really cute ones. Well, after scouring the internet for the freshest spring tops for women over 40 that won’t break the bank I’m happy to report that I found 7 fabulous options! They can be worn in so many different ways and to so many different places, the value is unbelievable. The first item on my list of spring tops for women over 40 is this fabulous flowy bodysuit from Express. I love the tie front detail and the fact that it looks like a button-down shirt but has a bodysuit bottom. No worries about tucking everything in just right with this beauty! I’m wearing an XS in this fabulous spring top that’s on sale for $40!
UNDER $100 FLARES:
These split-hem jeans from Express are the perfect pairing with the above bodysuit. The split hem and floor-skimming length will make your legs look MILES long, I guarantee it. I love the light wash for spring and they’re also on sale for under $60! If you want to jump on this trend with minimal investment, these jeans are the perfect option. I’m wearing a size 0 reg and they fit true to size.

ONE SHOULDER BLACK TOP:
This next top is from Evereve and I personally think it’s perfect for a date night or girl’s night out! I love how the fabric is wrinkle free and the one shoulder style is having a huge moment right now. I’m wearing an XS in this beautiful spring top for women over 40.
FRAME WIDE LEG JEANS:
These wide-leg jeans from Frame are one of my favorite pairs in this style so I’ve been wearing them on repeat! I really love the slight distressing on this pair and the high-waist ensures a flattering silhouette. I’m wearing a size 24 in this trending denim for spring.

GAUZY WHITE BUTTON-DOWN:
I LOVE a classic white button-down any time of the year but there is something about this look in the springtime that feels so right! This gauzy white button-down is the perfect example of a really good spring top for women over 40. The gauzy material is light and flowy and it’s long enough to wear tucked or loose so the options are endless! I’m wearing an XS and find it fits true to size.
BLACK SKIRT:
How fabulous is this ruched skirt for spring and summertime!? The ribbed knit material makes it look far more expensive than it is, and it has a price point under $100. It’s sold out in black but still available in tons of other colors here. Some colors are on huge sale for under $30 so now is the time to grab one if you’re thinking about it!

Look No. 4 features this incredibly flattering corset top from Express. It comes in 4 different colors and is currently on sale for 40% off, making it under $30! I’m wearing an XS in this fabulous spring top that is great to wear alone or under one of your favorite jackets.
CARGO JEANS:
Cargo Jeans are all the rage right now and these ones by GRLFRND are one of my favorites! I love the medium wash and the fit is not too baggy and not too tight. I’m wearing a size 24 in this trending pair of denim!

ORANGE TOP FROM EXPRESS:
This next spring top for women over 40 has tasteful front and back cutouts making it very on-trend right now. I love the wrap detail and the halter top closure makes it easily adjustable as well. It comes in 5 colors all together but this bright orange is by far my favorite! I’m wearing an XS and find it fits true to size.

GREEN RIBBED SWEATER:
Number 6 on my list of the top spring tops for women over 40 is a fabulous sweater for early spring when the temperatures haven’t quite warmed up yet. The knit fabric makes it feel expensive when it really has a price point closer to $100 and it’s currently 50% off, making it closer to $60! I love the bright green color for spring and modern shoulder pads are making a huge comeback in 2023. I’m wearing an XS and find it fits true to size.

It normally has a price point of around $50 but Express is having a huge sale right now making this top closer to $25! I’m wearing an XS in this ideal closet staple that comes in 5 neutral colors.
