5 FALL TRENDS OUT OF STYLE AND WHAT TO WEAR INSTEAD

The first trend that’s out this year is low-rise super skinny jeans. This denim is completely out of style now, and this is coming from someone who used to love a good pair of skinny jeans! They can actually make you look shorter because of where the waistline sits on your body. What I recommend to wear instead is a pair of denim with a HIGH WAIST, as this will help elongate your silhouette. One of my favorite pairs of jeans right now is this one from Citizens of Humanity because of the high waist and trouser-style leg. I’m wearing a size 24 in these slimming jeans that are definitely one of the hottest fall fashion trends of 2023

It’s no secret asymmetric hemlines are out, since it’s almost impossible to find this style in store lately. I personally am super into their replacement: Midi hemline dresses! I love this length of dress because I think it’s very flattering on a host of body types and it’s very slimming as well. This option from ASTR actually looks very similar to a Staud dress I own but instead of hundreds of dollars, this option is under $100! I’m wearing an XS in this chic dress with a luxurious color combination that is perfect for fall!

The next trend that’s out this year is a surprising one – it’s overly ripped or distressed jeans! You all know I love a good pair of distressed denim but I’m finding myself just not reaching for my overly ripped pairs anymore; From what I’ve been seeing in the comments on my IG a lot of you feel the same way but that’s not to say I won’t be wearing any distressed denim in the future. I’ll just be opting for my more subtly distressed pairs or pairs with no rips at all.

This pair of cuffed jeans from Agolde is a great in-style option because they’re versatile and they’re all the rage right now. They are classified as a low-rise jean but I ordered them a bit bigger and wore them as a high-rise with a belt as I think this really elevates the look. I’m wearing a size 23 and they do run big so if you want your true size, go down one size.

Next on my list of the hottest fall fashion trends of 2023 and what’s on it’s way off that list this year is the Golden Goose sneaker! We’re seeing a trend toward more classic, clean, and simple styles like the pair from Sam Edelman I’ve linked here. They aren’t the exact pair I’m wearing above but they’re very similar and super affordable with a price tag under $100. If you’re interested in what all the IT girls are wearing, I’ve been told this pair from Adidas is red hot right now so that’s another chic option for a casual fall sneaker.

Last but not least on my list of style trends that are OUT this fall are bright neon colours. We we’re seeing a sea of neon through spring & summer but with the change in season comes a change in color palate as well! One of the hottest fall color trends of 2023 is chocolate brown, and this Express blazer is the perfect way to work it into your fall wardrobe.
