Spring’s Top 10 Trends

1.)  BLUSH PINK – The number one color this spring!  I love this shade of pink, it’s soft and blends well with neutral shades to create the perfect spring look!

2.)  LACE-UP SHOES – From heels to flats to wedges, lace-up shoes is all the rage this spring!  Pair them with rolled up skinny jeans or slim cut boyfriend jeans, rompers, cut-offs, and fun spring dresses.

3.)  NEURTAL ZONE – The spring run ways were flooded with lots of neutral shades paired together to create a beautiful monochrome look head to toe.  I love wearing shades of gray, white, and ivory mixed together.

4.)  OFF THE SHOULDER TOPS – This has been a trend for a while and it’s still holding on strong this spring.  I’m a huge fan of off the shoulder tops, they are subtly sexy and flirty and can be worn with so many different things from skinny jeans, to shorts, and my favorite – flares!

5.)  LACE – So feminine and pretty, lace is the perfect accent to add to any look.  Try adding a simple lace cami to your spring wardrobe, you’ll find this is the perfect layering piece to wear under v-neck tees, sweaters, and light weight jackets.

6.)  SRPING KNITS – I adore wearing light weight sweaters in the spring in beautiful pastel shades paired with pale gray denim, white denim, and light washed ripped denim.

7.)HIGH-WAISTED DENIM – Of course jeans will always be in style, it just depends what type of jean is hot at the moment.  This spring we are seeing lots of different kinds of denim from high-waisted cropped flares (do you dare try these), to mom jeans (basically a mid-rise cropped straight leg), and thankfully the tried and true ripped skinny jeans are everywhere too.  I really couldn’t decide which denim trend to choose so I decided on the one that looks good on almost all body types, the high-waisted jean, skinny or flare, they are super fathering and will elongate your legs and make you appear taller and slimmer because the waist line sits up a bit higher.  Trust me when I say, once you try a high waisted jean you will LOVE them and want to wear them all the time!!

8.)  MATTE LIPS – I love make-up!!  I have loved make-up since I was a little girl.  I remember sitting in my Mom’s bathroom and intently watching her do her make-up.  It was one of my favorite things to do as a little girl!  This spring it’s all about pale pinks and lilac shades of shadows and lip colors.  Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury make the absolute best matte lip sticks in my opinion.  My favorite matte lip shade from Tom Ford is called Pussycat.

9.)  SUEDE – Inspired by the 70’s, this fun trend is holding strong this spring!  I especially love suede during this time of year in neutral shades and soft pastels.

10.)  STRIPES – From the basic tee, to dresses, and skirts and even denim we are seeing lots of stripes this spring.  My favorite way to wear stripes is to pair a simple striped tee underneath and leather jacket or blazer.
