“My passion for fashion” traces back to a very young age, when as a little girl I received my first pair of high-heeled shoes from a friend who had just returned from China. For me, it was love at first sight and I literately wore them everywhere. I credit my sense of style to my utterly stylish and cool Dad, who has been by hero since I was a little girl. I started my Personal Styling company 3 years ago right after I lost my Dad to lung cancer. The thing I love about styling others is helping them feel better about themselves. I am a firm believer in the “look good, feel good” mentality. Don’t get me wrong, I know it won’t solve all of your problems, but what I know for sure is that when I look my best, I feel my best too.
I started my fashion blog in January of 2012 as a way to reach more people than just my clients. The internet is a powerful thing, it has allowed me to share my sense of style one outfit at a time to many people. I hope through the different looks I create that I am able to inspire others to express themselves in a way that makes them feel good – on the inside and on the out. I always tell my clients and readers to dress in what you feel most “YOU” in, or most comfortable in. If you wear what you love and what you feel your best in your confidence will shine through and that is the best accessory a women can wear!
Being a Mom is my first priority, and I absolutely love it! However, being a Mom and a woman who just hit 40 last year doesn’t mean my style has to reflect what most people picture a “Mom over 40” looking or dressing like. I believe there is a fine balance that needs to be attained when you are dressing yourself – you never want to look like you’re trying to hard at looking too young or too sexy, and on the other hand you certainly don’t want to look too old or dated either. There is a tasteful way to put looks together to achieve that effortless and chic style that all of us are looking for. Kate Moss is my all time favorite style icon and here is why – she never looks like she’s trying too hard. She is a Mom who is also over 40, and yet she still manages to look amazingly stylish. It’s possible to achieve and maintain style at any age!
“Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak” – Rachel Zoe. This is one of my favorite fashion quotes. Always be yourself and let your confidence shine through!
