I went to New York Fashion Week almost a month ago with a group of really good blogger friends.  I posted about it here when I got back.  We had the best time!!  One of the coolest things about the blogging world is you get to make new friends!  I’m so grateful for the friendships I’ve developed with these 3 amazing ladies photographed with me above!!  You should for sure check out their blogs when you get time, they all have impeccable taste and style.

Now let’s talk about our looks – we didn’t plan it I promise, but we all had on flares so it worked out perfectly!!  I thought all of our outfits really complimented one another and it goes to show that yes, flares really are back in style.  I went for a tone on tone look – mixing 2 shades of the same color.  My jacket is a pale pink and my velvet flares are a deep bordeaux, I really love these 2 colors together!  Burgundy is a huge color this fall and it’s by far my absolute favorite color to wear in the fall and winter!  It looks good on almost all skin tones so it’s an easy color to wear.  I love it paired with gray and black too.  The wrap jacket I’m wearing Cathy and I actually both bought together one day we were shopping at Intermix and since it was on sale we both snagged it!  I hope this post gave you some wonderful ideas of how to style your favorite pair of flares!
