The “Cool Girl” Way to Cuff Your Sleeves

An easy and effortless look that’s perfect to wear almost anywhere you want to be casual and comfortable and still look chic is denim on denim – a hot trend right now for sure.  A denim shirt is a wardrobe staple because of it’s versatility – it can easily be dressed up by pairing it with a black leather pencil skirt and a pair of chic ankle strap heels for a date night or dressed down by pairing it with a pair of boyfriend jeans or white shorts and tkees.  The key to making a denim shirt work is the way you roll up the sleeves and make sure you leave a few buttons undone at the top as well – this will ensure the “Cool Girl” effect.  When you roll up your sleeves instead of doing it the old fashioned way which is by cuffing them 2-3 times one cuff at a time try this instead:  Take the unbuttoned sleeve and roll it up once all the way up to your elbow, then take the bottom half and roll that up past your elbow.  Leave the top of the cuff sticking out a tad bit just above your elbow and then push your sleeves up.  It doesn’t have to be perfect, infact, the more loose and effortless it looks the better.  I found 3 really cute denim shirts, one being under $25 – what a steal!!
