The Leather Jacket – A Wardrobe Staple

One of my absolute favorite things to wear is a leather jacket, faux or real, they always look chic and edgy and their versatility is extremely high.  In a recent interview I had with FabulousAfter40 I mentioned the number one wardrobe staple was the leather jacket.  You might have heard the saying, “I thought that my life would suddenly improve if I got a leather jacket…And I was literally 100% totally right“.  This couldn’t be more true!!!  You can pair a leather jacket with almost anything and it immediately takes your look to the next level.  Think of it this way, anything you would pair a black blazer with try pairing it with a leather jacket instead, this will create a bit more edge to your ensemble.  For example, if you are at the office during the day wearing a blazer, pencil skirt and heels and have a cocktail party to attend after work just swap out your blazer for the leather jacket before you head to your cocktail party and voila instant glam! I’ve worn this black leather jacket over maxi dresses, with cut-off denim shorts, white jeans, flare jeans, pencil skirts, pretty much just about everything in my closet.  If you don’t have a leather jacket in your wardrobe I highly recommend purchasing one, you’ll be glad you did!
