I was thrilled to be asked to appear on the Good Morning Texas show!! The style segment was put on by Jeanette of ChivviStylesblog.com and the topic was “The Do’s and Don’ts for Fashion Over 40“. What a great topic – as women over 40 we are all trying to find that balance between trying not to look too sexy and young for our age, but at the same time not looking frumpy and old either. There is a balance that can be achieved by creating looks that are chic and sophisticated…and age appropriate.

Jeanette was in charge of styling us and she chose a chic floral crop top by Tibi for me that I paired with my own Alice and Olivia black leather leggings (which I wear a ton). I paired my look with my current favorite black mules and an AMAZING over-sized clutch by Allison Mitchell. My shirt is a tad bit cropped – you could always add a lace tank underneath if you aren’t comfortable showing any skin – I think the key to wearing a crop top over 40 is only showing a sliver of skin or none at all.
