5 Items I Never Travel Without + 6 Looks I Wore In Aspen

Happy Tuesday gorgeous ladies! Are you a beach person or a mountain person? I’m personally a beach lover, however, I love a good trip to the mountains especially this time of year when the weather is so dreamy!  I just got back from Aspen and I’ll have to say it’s one of the most beautiful mountain towns I’ve ever been to!  The air is crisp, cool, clean, and dry which is a nice escape from this crazy hot weather we’ve been having in Dallas lately.  It was my first time in Aspen and I will definitely be going back because the shopping, the food, the hiking, and the beautiful weather couldn’t have been more perfect!  There are always 5 travel essentials I never leave without no matter where I’m going so if you’re traveling too sometime soon then this post is for you. I’ll also be sharing where we ate, what we did, some of the best places to shop, and the 6 chic looks I wore in Aspen so be sure to scroll all the way down to check all of this out.

SHOP LOOK 1:

WHERE WE ATE:

We stayed at a small condo right in town which was walking distance to the main town where all of the shops and restaurants were which was nice.  I love being able to walk everywhere especially when the weather is so nice!  We ate at Cache Cache one night for dinner and the food was amazing!  The patio dining was fabulous and the bar scene was pretty spectacular as well.  If you’re a sushi lover like we are then you’ll love Matsuhisa, it was our favorite place to get sushi!  We had lunch at Meat & Cheese – they have the most beautiful and delicious charcuterie boards EVER and gorgeous patio seating!  Our favorite spot to grab a glass of vino was on the stunning patio of Hotel Jerome which has a great spa by the way if you’re wanting a relaxing massage.

WHERE I SHOPPED:

Ok, now let’s get to the best shopping, my favorite part, of course!  Hands-down the best place to get a hat (and you will want one if y0u go to Aspen) is Kemo Sabe.  I did have to wait in line 30 minutes to get in but it was well worth the wait, trust me on this!  They offer the HUGEST selection of the most high-quality hats of any store I have ever been in, EVER. Everyone is so helpful, in fact, each customer is assigned a specific sales associate who will help you in picking out and customizing the perfect hat.  They cut and shape the hat right in front of you based on your head size and shape so you can be certain this hat will look perfect on you!  I chose a beautiful chocolate brown shade with a killer metallic stingray hatband which adds the perfect amount of interest to my gorgeous chocolate brown hat!  I wore it every day I was in Aspen and I know it’s a hat I’ll have in my collection forever which means I will definitely get my cost per wear out of it.  They will add feathers if you like and they even brand your initials on it which I thought was really neat.

For regular shopping, my favorite places were Intermix, Wyld Blue which is a really neat boutique that sells the most amazing vintage Chanel handbags and accessories, and a cool store called Angels and Outlaws where I found a stunning cropped mink jacket for an incredible price.  Of course, there are also all of the typical high-end stores there as well such as Dior, Gucci, Balenciaga, and LV which are always fun to go into.  The best thing is that all of the stores in Aspen are walking distance from one another so it’s the perfect setting to grab a cup of coffee (The Local Coffee House was our favorite spot to grab coffee) and stroll casually in and out while enjoying the beautiful mountain air!

5 TRAVEL ESSENTIALS I NEVER LEAVE WITHOUT:

1.) LIGHTWEIGHT JACKET:

How gorgeous is this chocolate brown faux leather blazer by ALC? I always bring a lightweight jacket when I travel because it’s cold inside places like the airport and restaurants! And, of course, I need a jacket at night when I’m traveling in a mountain city. I’ve always been a big believer in adding a third layer to elevate any look, so this jacket was the perfect addition. If you’re wanting a more budget-friendly option, I love this one just as much. This piece runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS.

My crossbody bag by YSL is so good that I just featured it in my most recent YouTube video titled: BEST LUXURY BAGS OF 2021! I love traveling with at least one crossbody since they’re so easy to carry and fit everything you will need while you’re out and about. I love the leopard print of this bag, too! For a more budget-friendly version, this one is amazing as well and a fraction of the price.

This bag by YSL is considered my primary travel tote since I carry it with me on the plane and even on the days where I want to wear a third layer or scarf that I may end up taking off! This bag is such amazing quality so I know I’ll have it for years to come. If you’re looking for a more affordable version, I love this one that’s a great travel tote, too.

4.) CASHMERE TRAVEL WRAP:

BUDGET-FRIENDLY VERSION:

I never leave my house for a trip without this cashmere wrap by White + Warren – it’s the softest accessory I’ve ever felt and makes for the perfect blanket while I’m on the plane. It’s a super functional piece since it serves as a fabulous scarf when I arrive at my destination. For a more budget-friendly version, I love this scarf just as much!

I always wear these sneakers with my travel look because they’re so comfy, and I can walk miles in them and my feet never hurt. As you probably know by now, any sneaker by Golden Goose is a favorite of mine – they never get old or lose their quality! If you’re wanting something a bit more affordable, I love these as the budget-friendly version.
