Easy Casual Top + High-Rise Denim

High rise jeans are all the rage right now and I’ll have to admit I’m a HUGE fan!  There are a couple of reasons why high-rise jeans are so flattering:

1.)  They make your legs appear super long and slim because the waist line sits up higher

2.)  They do a fabulous job of holding everything in

3.)  They accentuate your waist – I highly recommend tucking your shirt in all the way and wearing a belt or just doing the infamous “half-tuck” as I did in this post

Denim is taking on several new silhouettes this season and the high-rise is a great way to update your denim wardrobe without going over-board.  I think the last 3 pairs of jeans I’ve purchased have been high-rise and I’m finding myself always wanting to wear those jeans.  These jeans are by J Brand, one of my absolute favorite denim lines, they are extremely comfortable which is always something I look for in a good pair of jeans AND they don’t stretch out!  The wash is perfect for fall and I love the cropped length (not too cropped for my 5’4 frame).

With bodysuits being another hot trend right now, high rise jeans are the perfect style of denim to pair with bodysuits.  In fact, as I’m sitting here typing this post I’m wearing these exact jeans and an olive green bodysuit that I purchased from Nordstrom a while back.
